Chapter 4 by Glouton L'Gourmand
What happens?
....She what?
"Please forgive me!!"
You blink.
In an instant, the fencer has gone from scanning you for movement to groveling at your feet, begging for mercy.
You're so bewildered that she probably could have killed you and you wouldn't have done anything to stop her.
"I'm sorry, I was low on cash and I needed more to buy equipment so I sold myself as an escort for beginners and I had to escort those two to the Ivory Towers and I'm low on health and not enough money to reviveIdon'twannadiepleasedon'tkillmeI'lldoanythingyouwantjustleavemealonepleasepleasePLEASE!" She stops to regain her breath, gasping and panting, and slowly looks up with tearful eyes, and asks in a meek voice that would be better on a sad little girl.
"....please?"
You gulp and look away, trying not to look at the suddenly-moe fencer staring at you. She just stays there, quivering and whimpering occasionally, not even moving to stab you with her rapier. She's truly admitting defeat and begging for mercy here.
Well, crap. Now you have an experienced-but-broke fencer begging you for mercy.
On the one hand, you could kill her, granting you more EXP and letting you level up more, but the **** of her will surely linger on your mind, gnawing at you for the rest of your existence. She DID try to kill you, though....
On the other hand, you could let her go. She'll thank you, you live to see another day, etc, etc. But there's no benefits for you. Why would even consider that, even though she said she'd do anyth-
Oh.
Ooooooooooohhhh.
Oooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhh.
You suddently realize that you can think of a very, very good third option.
What do you think of?

Game Monster
From Creep to Boss
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
