Denise stands up straighter again. "I'm a lesbian," she announces. "That's how I'm different. I went along with all this because as long as you were bullying him you weren't bullying me. I was a coward. Well now I'm SICK of being a coward, and I'm SICK of putting up with your bullshit."

Delilah raises her hand, as if she were in that math class you do homework for. "Um... Denise? Have you, maybe, thought of getting treatment? There are places... camps... where they help kids who are confused like you."

"I'm not 'confused,' I'm GAY," Denise snaps back. "I think YOU'RE confused if you think my liking girls is a sin, but you're fine with Taylor whoring around or with yourself stealing homework answers!"
