She was cursed

To say Eda Clawthorne has had a tough life would be an understatement.

She was already not really into the whole Coven System that was enforced by Emperor Belos, but just as she was going to throw a witches duel so her sister Lilith could at least join the Emperor's Coven like she wanted... she wet her pants. And it only got worse from there.

Over the next couple of days, Eda noticed that in addition to having multiple accidents every day, her interests were growing more... childish. She liked the idea of playing with toys, she took more naps, and gradually started throwing more temper tantrums. There were even times when Eda's mind would regress so she would actually act like an infant. According to the Healing Coven, all of this was part of a curse, and even though her mother wanted to cure her as soon as possible, Eda honestly didn't mind her current situation that much. Yeah, it sucked for her to lose her mind occasionally, but all she needed to do was drink an elixir every now and then, and it would be kept at bay. It also helped that over the years, she had become a very powerful witch who could beat up anyone who didn't want to change her.

One day, Eda was setting up shop at the Bonesborough Market, displaying all of the treasures she found from the human realm (though she kept most of the toys for herself) when her loyal Palisman, Owlbert, came back with a book. "Hey, a picture book. Good find, buddy." Eda said as she started to browse through the book, but gagged at the story being all flowery. "Yuck! This book gives witches a bad name! Let's burn it." She held a candle near the book until of all things, a human girl swooped in and took it away from her. "Get back here! That's miiiine!" Eda whined as she took out a key and made her portal close so the human wouldn't escape.

Instead, the human ran behind the tent and towards a cliff. Eda quickly followed her just as she tried to run somewhere else. "You better have a good reason for being here." She said sternly. As she did so, a gust of wind blew her dress up a little, exposing her baby block-printed diapers to the human, not that she minded.
