Sarah's response was...?
She wants to continue
Sarah stifled a yawn but still smiled as warmly as she could. "It was ab-so-fucking-lutely brilliant! I mean, I never had so much freedom and the ability to just get in there and be that person...it was amazing." She placed her bag on the table and slipped out an envelope and placed it in front of him. "They pay the girls on the daily, at the end of each shift, based on the type of service and the amount of clients. It wasn't as much as some of the girls who did way more than I did but it's still a nice chunk of change."
Tom nodded and continued to listen as she recounted several of the stories she heard from the girls that had worked alongside her, although a part of him wondered how she could remember these things as Sarah when the wish had changed her to being a totally different person. Was it some sort of coin-feedback or just a by-product of a wish? It was almost silly for him to think about the coin needing an instruction manual when it was really based on his stated wish. Perhaps it picked up on his subconscious thoughts? To test that out, he placed his hand into his pocket and grasped the coin sitting there. I wish whenever Sarah changes, her new personality would do exactly what I say, not what I may have meant or seemingly meant. Unlike the other times, though, the coin did not react to his mental wish and that had him more than a bit puzzled.
"...man, I must be more tired than I thought..." she stated, bringing him back to the conversation. Sarah noticed that he hadn't touched the envelope and she patted it again before moving it in front of him. "Here, I thought you would be all over this."
He looked at the envelope and then pushed it back to her. "It's your money, you earned it. Why don't you treat yourself to the bag you always wanted?"
Sarah paused for a moment, looking down at her hand and the ring on it, before she continued, almost whispering at first. "I wanted..."
Tom looked at her. "You wanted?"
"I wanted..." she began but then shook her head and with a firm conviction pushed the envelope to him. "...Never mind, you take this. It's ours, after all."
He looked instead at his wife's face, seeing her blush, and he leaned forward. "You wanted...to continue to do this? To be an escort?"
Sarah shied away, an indicator he had hit the nail on the head, and after a few moments, meekly nodded. "I know what I said, and it's true, I want to keep my job during the day. It's just that, last night, I really felt alive, like I was doing something that my mind, body, and soul loved. I love our marriage, I love who we are, but Amber, well, she was all I am and more. The level of confidence in being desired, lusted after, the feeling of getting fucked by that young guy in the shower, every moment I kept thinking that it was great but we're so much more. I don't know how to explain it, the more I fucked him, the more hungry I got for us." She reached out and took his hand, giving it a warm squeeze. "You've given me so much time and patience, I know I'm frigid. I-I need this, to see who this woman you married is and what she needs to become. Amber is helping me learn that, to become more skilled and driven." Tom didn't want to tell her that he could solve all of that with the coin in his pocket, he let her continue. "I want to become Amber, at least every evening, for this week. Let's see how that goes."
Finding nothing to add, he grasped the coin in his palm. "I wish Sarah would feel like she got a good night's sleep when she goes to work during the day and becomes Amber when she gets home, that she repeats this every morning for the next 6 days." The coin felt warm to the touch and his wife immediately smiled and stretched in her seat. "Feel better?"
Sarah nodded and after giving him a kiss on the cheek, got up and got ready for work. Tom thought it was rather bizarre that the conservatively dressed and demeanor-like therapist was able to moonlight as an escort but all he did was wish her a good day as she left. The coin in his pocket was still warm and he smiled again. _I wish that Sarah would not realize any wishes that I make when she is not around. _It slowly began to cool down again and with that, he picked up the envelope and took it into their bedroom, placing it unopened into the top drawer on her side of the dresser, before closing it and looking at himself in the mirror. "This is going to be one interesting week..."
