She takes up Blake's offer to train with her

“I suppose we could do some light sparing,” Ruby said to Blake, who nodded and placed a bookmark where she left off.

Weiss waved goodbye to them, still preoccupied with deciding on an outfit, and Yang looked a little disappointed. Ruby would have to make it up with her later. She and Blake made their way to the training fields again, grabbed their weapons from their locker rooms, and met in the arena. Blake wielded Gambol Shroud, a sword with a sheath, that could also be used as a one handed weapon for duel wielding.

“Don’t hold back,” Ruby said to Blake, giving Crescent Rose a practice swing. It felt so light to her now.

“I don’t think I could even if I wanted.” Blake replied with a small smile.

The preset bell rang and they began.

Ruby started off with a few long range shots from Crescent Rose in gun form. Blake was a melee opponent and liked to get in close. Blake dodged the random bullets and ran swiftly around the ring, forcing Ruby to keep turning. It was throwing off her aim. Finally, Blake must have seen a flaw in Ruby’s defense and charged straight at her.

“Got you!” Ruby fired a bullet directly at Blake, who smirked.

The bullet hit Blake square on and her body flickered before disappearing.

“No, a clone!” Ruby tried to figure out where the real Blake was, only to get hit in the back by Blake’s sheath. There was a loud bang and Ruby fell forward. “Huh,” she realized. “That didn’t hurt at all.”

“You still took Aura damage,” Blake stated, pointing to the screen. Ruby doubled checked and saw she was right. While her body didn’t hurt, Aura was still absorbing the impact and Ruby did not have a lot of it.

“Guess I need to get serious too.”

Crescent Rose mechoshfited into its scythe form and Ruby vanished in a flutter of roses. She didn’t really disappear, it was just her Semblance. Ruby could move at speeds even Faunus eyes couldn’t follow. Blake was only saved by her reaction speed. Ruby appeared behind her and brought her scythe down. Blake responded by crossed her weapons in front of her like a shield. The **** of the blow sent her flying.

I forgot about my strength! Ruby realized too late.

Blake landed hard and skidded backwards. Her Aura took a big hit just trying to avoid the shockwaves. Her sheath transformed into a gun and she started fire bullets at the shocked Ruby, who was too slow to react.

“Ow! That hurts!” Ruby cried.

“Noted.” Blake threw the ribbon attached to her weapon around Ruby’s feat and pulled. Her foot slipped and Ruby fell on her back. A second later, Blake landed on top of her with her gun pointed down. “I win?”

“You win. Nice Job.” Blake smiled, hopped off, and helped her up. “I guess even with super strength, I can’t let my guard down.”

“Reason I was trying to avoid a direct confrontation,” Blake admitted. “That one blow you hit me with? Took 20% of my aura, AFTER I blocked.” She looked Ruby up and down. “How do you feel?”

“Besides not needing to eat or drink?” Ruby couldn’t resist and even giggled. “I feel sensational.”

Blake raised an eyebrow but decided not to comment at Ruby’s strange wording. The two of them heading back to the locker room to grab some towels and store their weapons. During this time, Ruby eyed Blake, while fidgeting with the remote in her pocket.

She had always been interested in knowing what having animal parts would be like. What if Ruby swapped ears with Blake? She could have a pair of cute cat ears. The question is using a Body Part Swap, would she still be considered a human or a Faunus? What would Blake be considered? So many questions. Ruby also debated swapping Wardrobes with Blake. There was no doubt Blake had some attractive clothes. She wondered what Penny would look like wearing her black and white outfits compared to the boring grey ones she had now.
