She takes Kevin in

The teacher thought it was not worth it to try to chase Anna. It was true that she was in much greater violation of the school rules. However, the teacher already had Kevin in her grasp. If she tried to run after the girl, they might both get away. However, apprehending Kevin brought her an unexpected surprise.

“Ow ow ow!” Kevin said, as she held his arm roughly. He dreaded being caught but was glad it was him and not Anna. However, he feared that his sacrifice would still be in vain and Anna would still get caught. He could not let that happen. He WOULD not let that happen!

Kevin watched her running away. He yelled after her, “R-r-run, Anna, s-s-save yourself!”

The teacher smiled evilly. “Anna…. I’ve got your name now. We’ll see how many Annas go to this school, and call them into the principal’s office, one-by-one, until I see your face again. I have a special punishment planned for you then.” She looked forward to a total victory after all.

Anna stopped cold in her tracks. She turned around to see the teacher walking away, seemingly making no attempt to come after her. Something inside Anna made her wary of letting the teacher out of her sight. She slowly stepped forward, looking over her shoulder every so often. Kevin’s sounds of protest were drowned out by the sound of her heartbeat in her ears, and her bare feet slapping on the cold tile.

The teacher began walking back the way she came, dragging Kevin with her. Suddenly, Anna heard the teacher’s voice call out behind her. “Wait, girl…. you forgot your clothes.”
