She runs for it

Krissy had been looking for a way out of this town since last night. There was nothing and no one here worth staying around for. The money in her pocket was enough to get her where she needed to go, so she was leaving town, today.

She walked briskly back home, taking a few moments to pack extra clothes in her backpack, along with a few other essentials. After a little deliberation she brought the phone too. After ensuring that no one had come home while she was packing, Krissy left, walking out the front door for the last time. Screw that place and everybody in it.

The walk to the bus station wasn't a quick one, but for the first time in a long time, she felt excited. She had a chance and she was taking it.

Krissy felt bad about taking Principal Howards money, but she hoped he would understand.
