She reveals some information

With a small nod lady Sophia asks, “What do you want to know captain?”

“Tell me what you can about Petroculus Har’Amaden and his relationship with your Lord." You watch the noblewoman intently hoping for any insight into what makes her tick. Lady Sophia takes a couple steps off to the right putting a little distance between her and Adriana before turning to face you.

“I first met Peroculus Har’Amaden two weeks after his return from Heliopolis. My husband, had been a minor investor in the venture, and after he got his return he ordered a feast honoring the man who had delivered so much wealth into the coffers.” Lady Sophia pauses, staring at a painting of two Satyrs rutting a Nymph.

“So your husband was involved in the **** trade?” You ask, sitting back in the chair.

Lady Sophia looks at you and then her daughter, “There isn’t a noble family in this city that isn’t involved somehow in the trade. But my husband was more involved that some, and it wasn't just for the wealth it brought him - he got off on enslaving free woman from other cities especially the young unmarried ones.”

Lady Sophia moves again, this time walking over to the table sitting on its edge and stretching her toned leg out casually looking at you through lowered lashes. For just a second you wonder if she is deliberately flirting with you, but in all other ways she is a very proper noblewoman of Athenapolis.

“It's ironic that a man, who so relished the enslavement of proud aristocratic women, will have it happen to his own family.” She finishes sadly.

“Mother…..” Adriana begins, but lady Sophia raises her hand stopping her before she can speak.

“No Dri, be glad you’ve found passion. It’s something I’ve never really had.”

You'll have to see if you can change that. It's hard not to imagine how good it would feel to have this cultured aristocrat squirming wildly under you. Pushing aside the pleasant thought for now you decide to prompt her back to the matter at hand.

“Lady Sophia it appears from some of the correspondence we have found that Petroculus had more than a simple interest in Adriana.”

“You could certainly say that.” She snorts contemptuously, “Every time he was here he was trying to negotiate a bride price for Adriana.”

Adriana gasps at that, apparently unaware of his interest.

“Mother, why was I never told?” Adriana asks.

“Because, it would never occur to your father my dear.” She answers sadly. “Much like our slaves, to him you were little more than a commodity to be sold to the highest bidder.”

“My lady," you tell her holding up the letter Antonius found in the office downstairs "two days ago Petroculus sent this missive offering a place in the Citadel in return for your daughter. It also says that should your husband decide to take the offer he would know how to make contact..”

“I’m not surprised Captain Caderos, but with my husband out of the city I thought it was a moot point and didn’t bother reading it.” She replies.

“But do you know how to contact him?” Antonius asks as you both stare at her intently. “And would he trust you if you did?”

An eager feeling settles upon you and you lean forward. “Do you Lady Sophia?" You ask, "Do know how to contact Petroculus Har'Amaden?”
