She needs a little extra horsepower.

Lisa closed her eyes and tried to ignore Caroline's wild bouncing in the passenger seat. She wasn't worried, but she knew that their actions at the mall had placed them both in danger. They could try to go back and fix things, but who knows how many people had already left? Returning to the mall didn't seem like a good idea, but she didn't have any better ones.

Suddenly her eyes shot open. She didn't have any ideas on how to get out of this jam, but she had an idea about how to have those ideas. She turned to Caroline with a small grimace. "Sorry for what I'm about to do, babe, but it's all I can think of."

Caroline snort-laughed and said something that was muffled by the tape over her mouth. Suddenly her eyes widened and she sneezed three times in a row. When the sneezing fit was over, her water eyes met Lisa's and Lisa saw a haziness in them. Lisa ripped off the duct tape on her mouth and she sucked in air through her teeth.

"What'dya dootame?" Caroline slurred out, her head lolling into Lisa's lap. Lisa pushed her back upright and she chuckled thickly.

"You know I love you more than anything, Care. I would never do anything to hurt you, but I needed to borrow a few things. To help you."

Caroline squinted at her quizzically. "You... borrowed stuff? From me?" Her mouth hung slightly open after she finished her sentence, giving her a spacey look.

Lisa sighed. "I had to take some of your intelligence. Well, a lot of your intelligence. I'll give it back when I'm done! I just need to think, and you're so happy that I didn't want to ruin that. So I grabbed most of your brainpower and a few other things, like your autonomy."

"Ottomeen?" Caroline giggled at the funny-sounding word.

"Sorry, your ability to do stuff without permission. You can't command me any more right now, which is good, because who knows what kind of stuff you'd tell me to do?"

Caroline was staring at a bug crawling across the windshield. She'd obviously missed everything Lisa had just said. Lisa smiled as she watched her object of devotion enjoy the simple pleasure of tracking a pill bug with her eyes. Finally, after the bug had crawled onto the roof and out of view, Caroline blinked and turned back to her friend. Lisa smiled at her and she laughed.

"You made me stupid?" Caroline asked with wonder. "I feel stupid."

"I like to think of it more as making myself smart," Lisa replied. "I just borrowed some of your smarts."

"Can I have something, then?" Caroline said after a moment. She rubbed her thigh clumsily with her left hand. "I want something."

Lisa laughed. "Like what?"

Caroline's right hand had moved up to cup her right breast appreciatively. She was starting to writhe sensually. "I dunno. Something sexy..."

Lisa was looking over her roommate's new body appreciatively. The spaced-out woman had closed her eyes and had turned all of her attention to her new body. She probably didn't even remember what they were talking about. Despite her sudden intellectual power over Caroline, Lisa still felt an absolute undying devotion to her roommate. She would do anything for Caroline.
