She makes it but...

Jane managed to slam into the stores doors and shut them tight behind her. All the adrenaline she had coursing through her would rival that time she raced under a fucking Reaper!

She spun around hoping that the place wasn't busy or better yet closed. Through the pumpkin she managed to see enough.

"You got to be kidding me."

"Liara." EDI spoke through the comms. "I have a possible location on Shepard."

"Finally some good news." Liara said. "What do you have?"

"Apparently there is a Halloween Streaker in a pumpkin helmet dashing through the streets a few blocks from your location."

"Pumpkin?"

"Here is the feed."

Liara and the girls saw a dirty and naked woman running for her life. A large carved pumpkin on her head.

"Reports say she was screaming Kasumi." EDI added.

The thief in back was more scared now than she had even been.

"Why is she wearing a pumpkin?" Ashley asked.

"Perhaps it was the only cover she could find?" Miranda said.

"Or she got it stuck on her head." Jack added trying not to laugh. Yeah Shepard was her friend, hell probably her best friend, but this was fucking funny!

"Lets go. We need to get to her before..." Liara stopped when several police skycars went flying past her. "That happens."

They all took off. Ashley had suddenly realized the hood she was holding was very slack. She stopped and saw Kasumi was gone. She slipped the hood of her outfit and had bolted!

"Ah Liara. We have another problem." She hesitately said.

Liara saw the issue and growled. "We'll deal with her later! Shepard needs us!"

Kasumi's first instinct was to run for her life but that woudl only delay the issue. So she did the best thing she could. She ran over the roofs to the shop the cops were going to. Maybe if she helped Shepard she would be more merciful? That was all she could hope.

Shepard groaned. Good news the shop was practically barren of anyone. Hell she didn't even see a casher. Bad news was it was picked clean do to some deal. The options she had for cover were very limited and all looked like they were at least two sizes to small!

"Fuck!" She let out. She slammed her fist against the pumpkin in anger. "Okay this is gone on long enough!"

She looked around and found one of the pumpkin carving kits on the rack with a knife in it.

"perfect!"

She tore it open and began to carefully carve around her neck. She just needed to make the hole bigger to fit out. It took some time but finally she cut away enough and as satisfied when she pulled the thing off

"Finally!" she tossed it to the side.

Suddenly she heard the sounds of sirens. Outside was two police skycars! She ducked behind a wall and looked around frantically. She had to put something on! Or at least a new mask to hide her identity!
