She loses her towel.

Emily lies on her bed for what feels like forever. It’s still not long enough. She wants to just fade away and disappear after the day she’s had. She simply lies there, as Ashley opens the balcony door.

A hot wind rushes in, rolling over Emily’s naked body. She jerks up and pulls the towel back on. “Don’t just open the door when I’m naked! We are still in port!”

Ashley shrugs. “Don’t be such a prude, it’s fine. No one can see us up here.”

That’s a lie, as Emily spots a man on the docks using binoculars to look right at her. Emily pulls the towel on a little tighter. “Look I just want to get out of this situation. It sucks. You’re really not gonna let me borrow any clothes? Not even a single shirt?”

Ashley shrugs. “Nope. You don’t get to lose my clothes, too”

Emily frowns and walks over to the balcony. “Ashley you’re being so-“

She is cut off by her foot hitting the balcony door frame, which sticks up a couple inches. She flops forward, her arms sprawling. Somehow in her fall, her arm gets wrapped around her towel, which flies up in the air with her arms. Worse still, it untangles itself right as her arm shoots forward, and the towel, the one thing that Emily had to cover with, flies off the edge of the ship. Emily lands with a crash, and looks up just in time to see her towel gently floating away through the glass side of the balcony.

“No, no, no! You can’t be serious!”

Ashley just laughs. “That’s why I’m not lending you anything, sis. You’re such a klutz, you would just lose it!”

Emily sit up, her arms wrapped around her body. What is she supposed to do now? She doesn’t have a stitch of clothing, and the ship leaves any moment!
