She let him go, without any further questions

"Well, fine then..." Jack finally mumbled, as the silence seemed to drag out forever, and started moving for the door again. It seemed for a second like his daughter was about to stop him on his way out, but then she simply nodded, and just stood there watching him leave the room. Quite possible she took a long, deep breath of relief when he was finally out of there, but by then he was already halfway down the corridor on his way to the bathroom.

Once there he had to think for a while about what he'd seen, and how to bring it up with Jennifer later. He couldn't just tell her about the whole incident, without also letting her know that he lied the first time, and he felt like he'd only end up losing his face if he tried to catch her red handed on purpose. He didn't want to be the kind of father to spy on his own kids after all, but found wondering when that was ever a plausible thing to do.

For the moment he could only try and stop thinking about the whole thing, even as that too proved a very difficult thing to do. Whatever he decided it would have to wait for another day, as the girl would likely be on her guard for a while ahead, and he briefly hoped that she would simply delete any traces of the video, thus solving the situation for the time being.

It wasn't just about the clip in itself however, as Jack had soon come to realize, and he wasn't quite sure what to make of his own reaction to the girl's provoking performance. Just like he'd said she would make a good actor one day, but he really didn't know what to think if she made it any further in the same direction she was currently heading.

Having a celebrity in the family would be trouble enough, at least from Jack's perspective, but picturing one of his daughters making a career in the adult movie industry would be something different altogether...!
