Chapter 32

What does Gemma wish to happen?
She just wants him to leave. You decide to add a little shaming.
"I...I just want him to leave," she answers solemnly.
Well, if it were just that, it would be boring. This girl is simply too nice.
"Oh, come on," you press, "Don't you want to get some **** for him cheating on you?"
Gemma widens her eyes and frowns. "That...I don't really care for that. I just don't want him to keep popping into my life, that's all."
Wow, she's really not budging on this. It's seemingly unbelievable that she carries not a tiny bit of hard feelings for Michael, but it appears that she's truly over him in terms of relationship.
You sigh and decide to at least have some fun for yourself. Who knows, maybe she'll enjoy seeing her ex-boyfriend being shamed in front of her and the rest of the ****.
"Well, that's really honorable of you, Gemma, but if he were to be shamed in front of everyone, how would you honestly feel?" you suggest, putting much emphasis on any tiny bit of cruelty in her heart. If she's truly human, then she would at least be open to the idea, especially under the influence of your ability.
Gemma hums, still displaying her displeasure in such an idea but relents. "I...guess? I wouldn't be against it as long as he leaves me alone."
Good enough!
"Alright, let's head inside then!"
As expected, there is a waiting room along with a male police receptionist to listen and list down any complaints. Fortunately, you don't need to wait as you come up to the desk.
"Name?" the man monotonically asks. He clearly knows the procedure for any complaints pat-down and to him, you're just another run-of-the-mill.
"Actually, I'm here to see the Police Chief, Michael," you explain.
The receptionist raises his eyebrow. "Do you have an appointment?"
"I don't need an appointment," you state firmly.
The receptionist hums and sees you have the nervous Gemma by your side. He points to a door behind him.
"I see you have the newbie with you, she can lead you there. Now if you excuse me..."
The receptionist goes back to checking off the names and...playing some games on his phone. Well, this guy certainly is lazy if he's delegating to Gemma, but at least he's not going to stop you.
Shrugging, you turn to Gemma. "Well?"
Gemma flinches, growing increasingly nervous as she is about to meet her ex-boyfriend. "Y-yes!"
She forces herself to lead as you follow her into the main hallway where many people travel in and out. They question why a civilian like yourself is wandering the building, but acknowledge you're being led by Gemma.
It doesn't take long before you arrive at the head office. Through the semi-transparent glass, you see that there are two people in the office. One of them must be Michel, but you aren't sure who the other person is. From the silhouette, it appears the other person is female.
You take a look down at Gemma who's shivering like a puppy.
"Want to come in?" you ask.
She vehemently shakes her head. Even if she didn't get hurt that much, it's clear that seeing her ex-boyfriend become angry and violent has never left her mind. How did this guy even become Chief of Police again? His records should have shown **** even if the charges were dropped by Gemma, right?
Well, you won't push Gemma to come forward against her ex-boyfriend. You really don't have the heart to try to really **** her to face her demons if she really doesn't want to. Either way, justice will get served...or something.
Entering the office, it appears you come across the head, Michael who is complaining to a rather tall and beautiful woman who stares unconvinced. She has a thin face with freckles, interestingly olive eyes with brown flowing hair. Of course, she's pretty fit and from where you can stand, dazzled, you figure she's at least six feet tall.
"Oh, come on Margie, relax! I hired Gemma on because she's a dear friend of mines, that's all!" says the bald and bulky man sitting in the chair, whom you can only assume is Michael.
"I've overlooked a lot of things here, especially since you're our chief, but don't think I'll look away this time just because you're the son of the mayor! Yes, she's qualified, but there are other people you have to discuss with before you let your personal feelings get in the way! Also...do not fucking call me Margie. It's Margaret," she snarls, even causing you to flinch. Although she's clearly not the chief, she sure feels like the true boss of the department.
Well, this is a sort of convenient timing to hear upon how such a guy like Michael ended up being the Police Chief; he's the mayor's son! It probably would've helped if Gemma mentioned such an important factor, but either way, it gives off the impression that Michael is doing nothing but leveraging his status.
Finally noticing your presence, both officials turn to notice your presence. Michael clears his throat and gives a professional smile, ignoring the fact that you heard their conversation.
"Sorry about that, mister. Do you have business with me? I don't recall hearing about an appointment with a civilian" he asks. His eyes glance towards Margaret who doesn't have a clue either.
In the corner of his eyes, he catches Gemma who is hiding behind the door. Annoyingly enough, his professional composure drops and he looks past you, more interested in the small girl behind you.
"Ah, Gemma! You probably led him here, right? Come in! How was your first day?"
Gemma flinches, hoping not to get involved, but now that she's being called out, she can only enter the office and stand by your side with a crooked smile.
"G-good sir."
Michael hums and he's not oblivious to see she's nervous. He gives a wicked grin.
"Come now, let's not be so nervous! We're friends, right?"
"I...I guess...?"
Margaret closes her eyes and sighs. "Michael, would you please focus. Gemma, why did you bring this man here?"
Gemma flinches further and her eyes gaze at you, pleading to help. You heard enough of everyone in the room to get a glimpse of their personality.
"Actually, I brought myself here and both of you are going to answer my questions without any protest, understood?"
Giving a command, both of the officials in front of you blink their eyes before nodding. Seeing how quick they were to obey, you can't help but grin slowly.
"First off, why doesn't Michael start with why someone who assaulted Gemma is the head of the police department?"
Michael frowns and becomes defensive, but he answers your question as calmly as he can since you forbade any protesting.
"There isn't any record of **** and thanks to my connections, I was able to quickly rise through the ranks, that's all."
Obviously, there aren't any records since Gemma didn't press any charges!
"Let me ask you this. Record or not, when Gemma tried to break up with you, did you hurt her?"
Michael shakes in his chair and growls. "Maybe a little, but I was a little drunk at the time and that bitch suddenly comes out of nowhere and asks to break up with me. How else am I supposed to react?!"
Gemma flinches, feeling the heat of her ex-boyfriend expressing himself. Now the true colors of her ex-boyfriend are beginning to show.
"Do you know why she broke up with you in the first place?"
It appears that Michael is starting to feel uncomfortable, but nonetheless, he answers with growing impatience.
"I assume it's because she found out that I cheated on her, but come on, give a guy some slack here! I still liked Gemma and she should've trusted me more!"
You said no protesting, but never said anything about excuses. Regardless, you've heard enough to know that this guy is outrageously self-entitled.
Well, come to think of it, you've become self-entitled as well thanks to your word of power, but it doesn't change the fact that Michael is an ass.
Focusing attention on Margaret who you assume is some sort of deputy or assistant to the police chief, it's clear just by her eyes that she is more than suitable to become the Chief of Police. Other than that, this woman is quite the looker with her straight black hair that's cut to the shoulder, piercing blue eyes, slightly freckled face, and slightly tanned skin. She looks to be a little more than the average female height, standing around 5'11". Her chest size seems to be a little smaller than Gemma, which is to say that they are quite big and it appears that her uniform is a little tight around her toned body which immediately brings attention to her chest and behind. In term of age, she looks to be in her late twenties or early thirties.
"Hm. Margaret, if I heard correctly, what do you think of Michael?"
"He's an ass."
Short and simple. Margaret didn't sugarcoat it either and you're not sure if that's because she's under the influence of your powers or she despises Michael that much.
It's clear that if Gemma isn't in this for ****, Margaret would gladly unseat Michael in his so-called "throne", and punish him while at that.
"Well, Margaret, how would you like to be the next police chief?"
Michael widens his eyes and would've shouted if it weren't for the fact that you forbade protesting.
Margaret narrows her eyes slyly and grins. "I'd be happy to move up in rank."
You clap your hand, "Then, in that case, Michael, you are to resign from your position and Margaret will be now in charge of the city's police."
"Wha-...I-"
The man is clearly in disbelief, but he can't seem to ignore your orders. Fear starts to trickle onto his face, but you weren't done yet.
"Also, Margaret, as a way to properly send him off, would you like to punish him? If so, how?"
Michael freezes and he now glances towards Margaret. "W-wait, please...Margaret, I-I'm sorry if I did anything wrong! I-I won't come back and mess with you anymore, I promise!"
From a total ass, Michael has now fallen from grace. It appears he has accepted the fact that he will no longer be chief, but interestingly enough, he's more fearful of the woman standing next to him.
Margaret smiles professionally, but there is no doubt hints of fire within her eyes. Although you've only asked her a question, not an order to punish, it seems like she knows that she'll be given an opportunity to act upon it.
"Michael, you've been acting like a spoiled brat ever since you come into this position. I have two kids and even they act more responsibly than you. I think a proper spanking in front of everyone is in order."
So, she's a MILF? If anything, you've found another jackpot. Also, her suggestion is simply perfect and although you admittedly were thinking of something harsher, it's fitting considering that Michael does seem like a spoiled man-child.
"Welp, you heard her Michael. Before you officially resign, let Chief Margaret paddle you in front of all your subordinates and colleagues. After that, you can strip naked and walk home. Also, just to make sure, you'll never come near the police department, family, or girl for the rest of your life."
Michael pales as your words come into effect and he can only heed them. At that point, Margaret could not hold her professional stance any longer as she motioned with a finger for him to follow her.
Meanwhile, Gemma could only watch, her hands covering her mouth as she saw the scene unfold. Despite saying that she only wanted him to leave, it's clear that she didn't feel any punishment is in order.
Tugging on your shirt, she makes her opinion known.
"I'm...happy he's leaving, but I don't think that was right," she states, growing a little sympathetic towards her ex-boyfriend.
You turn your back away from Michael who stands up to follow the new police chief. Focusing on Gemma, you reassured her by placing one hand on her shoulder.
"Well, the important thing is that he'll never bother you again. I believe that finishes our business, right?"
There's no denying that and Gemma smiles graciously. "Thank you. I...I don't know how I'll ever repay you."
You grin. "Well, I said business, right? That means that there's something that has to benefit me as well, isn't there?"
Gemma smile falters a little and she cocks her head. "I mean...I could maybe join you and Erica in your...um...fun?"
It's clear she's not exactly comfortable with the idea, but you had a more fitting end. You knew that you could have always imposed a relationship with Gemma, like you did with Melanie, but now this was a perfect opportunity to see how she really feels after helping her with her personal issues.
"What do you think of me?"
As you ask the question, Michael and Margaret have already exited the office and are rallying the rest of the police **** together. Although the door was shut, you could hear the whimpering of Michael as he is **** to strip in front of everyone.
Gemma hums, smiling bigger now. "I think you're really sweet and you've done more than I could possibly expect. Although I think you could be less rough and forgiving, I feel like I can trust you."
If this were a game, you might've just achieved near 100% relationship status to the police girl. It's been an interesting experience, thus far, and you're happy to have experimented with your powers more organically with this girl.
That said, there's no way he's going to leave this girl alone after the small amount of time he spent with her. It feels like you've done much more than the time says.
In the background, you hear Margaret order Michael to lie over her knees. Amidst the silent gasps, Margaret didn't delay in slapping the spoiled former chief in front of everyone.
Slap! Slap! Slap!
Refocusing your attention back to Gemma, you forward a proposition that she would hopefully answer without feeling ****.
"How about becoming my..."
Adding to the family, who will she be to you?
