Chapter 5
by aniasnin
Who is she?
She is...
She looks disoriented, then stands up rigidly and forces her terror down. Your odd, disarming courtesy, strange in the midst of this arboreal room, seems to rally her. She clears her throat and says, "I am Marait, Wind-walker. The Water-walker is Litessa, the Wild-walker is Kerritan, and the World-walker is Ura."
"Greetings, Marait. I welcome you to my humble abode." Her eyes flash as she sees the parody you make of her precise manners. "With those preliminaries out of the way, then..." You gesture and vines fall from the ceiling across her shoulders. She twists wildly, trying to throw them off, but they cling tightly to her. More vines sweep up from the floor and grip her feet, yanking them out from under her. In moments she is bound on the floor by your vines, her feet jerked up to her hands behind her back. Another gesture, and her entire body is lifted off the ground and dangles from a tree branch, the pressure wrenching at her shoulders as her body weight hangs from just her wrists and ankles. She whimpers, and tears come to her eyes.
"You are a proud woman, Marait. Strong, too, and I'll bet you're loyal. I think mere pain won't be enough to break you. No, it will take more than that. Your loyalty will be your undoing, Marait. When I enjoy your friends, I think you will help me. You will be the one they see restraining them, the one that cuts their clothes free and puts gags in their mouths. But when it's just you and me alone, we don't have to worry about that. We can have... other pleasures."
What will you do with her?
