Her eyes are open and she tries to make out her surroundings. A smile lites up on her face when she recognizes your face. You sit down at the edge of the bed and take her hand into yours.
"What are you doing here?“ she asks a little confused. "I thought you went out.“
"I came back.“ you reply and continue to stare at her. She still is quite weak and her eyelids keep falling down, but she seems better than before. With your free hand you reach for her cheek and gently brush a few hairs out of her face.
"What are you doing?“ Melody asks with her eyes closed, drifting off to sleep again.
"Admiring beauty.“ you reply to a already asleep Melody. Leaning down you place a kiss on her forehead.
For the next few hours you stay at her side and replace the washcloth several times. Her temperature is going down and her sleep becomes calmer. At some time you feel tiredness coming over you. You strip down to your boxers and climb into your own bed. Your eyes alway stay with Melody, not letting her out of your sight. It keeps getting harder to stay awake until you finally doze off.
The next thing you realize is a draft, something is pulling at your blanket. Before you manage to open your eyes you feel something next to you, something warm. After a few seconds your eyes are finally open and you see Melody looking at you. She had slipped under your blanket and lies inches away from you. She is only wearinbg her underwear. You just stare at each other and don't move. Melody's eyes are sparkling and much more vital than earlier.
"I don't want to be alone. Can I sleep here?“ she breaks the silence. You don't answer her. Without saying anything you wrap one arm around her and pull her closer. She rests her head on your chest and gently strokes your abs. You can feel her soft breasts at your side and you manage to control yourself. Unconsciously you hold your breath. The room is silent and you can feel Melody's heartbeat next to you. It's beating rapidly. Without realizing it, you put your arms around her and embraced her.
You lie there for a few minutes and you're trying to build up the courage to confess to her. To simply tell her that you love her.
