She is fine, she thinks?

Suddenly, Vanessa returned to consciousness. She was completely disoriented as she woke up. Like instantly waking from a deep sleep without any drowsiness. For her, it felt like no more than a second had passed since she felt the needle prick her arm. Yet, the machine announced that the process was complete. Lift her up, the arms gave Vanessa exactly what she wanted, as she was quickly dressed in her own clothes. Nothing could’ve made her happier. Walking out, Vanessa felt a lingering soreness all over her body, but besides that she was perfectly fine.

“I see that everything went smoothly.”said the man behind the counter.

“Yup!” Vanessa replied with overwhelming joy in her voice. She skipped around the room, her breasts bouncing up and down but she didn’t seem to notice or care.

“Glad you are happy.” The man said, smiling at the cheerful girl. “Everything is all set on our end as well. By the end of the day, your digital clone will be ready for anyone to interact with.”

“Oh, can I see it?” Vanessa asked, stopping suddenly in her tracks.

“Yeah, I can show you a bit.” The man said, turning the monitor a bit so Vanessa could see.

“Wow!” Was all that Vanessa said at the sight. On the screen was a photo realistic version of her. If she didn’t know any better, she would’ve thought it was a video of her. “What can people do with me, I mean her?” Vanessa asked, enthralled with her likeness.

“Well, people can really do whatever they want.” The man replied. “We have a few different functions depending on what people want to do. It they just want to interact with the model, they can have it do whatever they ask. We call this puppet mode.” The man demonstrated, having Vanessa do jumping jacks, her breasts bouncing up and down like in the real world. “Then there is conversation mode, which you interact with the clone of your mind. It will respond how you would respond. People can ask you questions and type actions in.” This he also demonstrates, asking her questions about herself which she answered perfectly. “This is the function people can use in virtual reality for more immersion. The last function is what we like to call story mode. It basically allows them to place you in any world, story, or scenario and it will be just like if you were in it. They can choose to have it prompt them with what happens, or can just let your clone live out the encounter in real time.” He says, putting Vanessa’s clone in the world of Pokémon, and the digital clone just starts going.

“That is pretty impressive.” Vanessa replied, only a little creeped out by how real it looks. “Are there any limits on what people can do?” Vanessa asked, worried that people might use it for creepy reasons.

“Nope, no restrictions at all!” The man replied, completely unaware of how worrying that was for Vanessa.

“Well, that is… neat.” Vanessa said, her voice filled with concern. “Well, it’s getting late so I should get going.” She said, turning to continue on her way.

“Wait up a second!” The man said, rushing over to her. “Take this.” He pushed a box into her hands. “It’s a prototype of a virtual reality machine we have been working on. While it is intended for people to interact with the digital clones, it actually has another use for those with clones.” He said, looking up at Vanessa.

“What are you talking about?” Vanessa said, a bit confused on what the man was saying.

“Well, since a digital clone is an exact copy of you and will react exactly as you would, you can actually enter the scenarios and conversations that people have created. You are in full control, but since you and the clone make the same decisions, it will just feel like you are playing in the world or having a conversation like normal. It is pretty cool.” He said, a proud smile on his face. “But I must warn you. Do not select any puppet mode scenes. Since your digital clone wasn’t the one making decisions, you will have no control over your body. It could go very poorly.” His warning heard loud and clear, Vanessa accepts the head set.

“Thank you, that does sound pretty cool.” Vanessa responds, and waves goodbye to the man.

Once Vanessa is back at her house, she can’t help but look at the head set. While her digital clone has only been public for less than an hour, thousands of people have already interacted with it. She just wanted to see what people were doing with her, and that could only be done through the head set.
