She is chill about it

  “You mean think that we are a couple? Oh I get it you are embarrassed to be seen with me is that it?” She asked with a slight hint of irritation in her voice. “No…no! It’s not like that I mean you’re really pretty but I…I just-” I stammered and was cut off by her soft laughter. “Relax. I’m only playing around. You don’t need to be all embarrassed. You can be open with me.” I took a breath calming down. She put her hand on mine in and squeezed in a reassuring way “And thanks. No one has ever said I’m pretty before.” She said with a small smile and removed her hand preventing an awkward silence. “Let’s get back to math.” She said with a smile and with a crunch finished her lollipop and as soon as she had thrown it away she had a new one. 

      We studied a bit longer and wrapped things up seeing how it was getting late. We walked out the door together  and I noticed it was snowing lightly.“Wow it’s snowing this soon?” I said. She sighed dreamily and looked up smelling the crisp evening air. “In this snow will you be alright getting home? If you’d like I can walk you home.” She got a strange look on her face and snapped out of her haze. “Oh, uh no that’s ok. But I really do appreciate it.” I was curious why she got that look but dropped it. “Well I hope you get home fast before this picks up.” She looked over to me knowingly “I don’t think you need to worry about that.” She though a moment and said “I want to thank you for helping me today. You’re the first person to really talk to me so far.” She said appreciatively. I shrugged “Don’t mention it.” She got a small smile on her face and leaned in to give me a small peck on the cheek before running off calling, “See you tomorrow Tskune.” I was shocked by her blunt behavior and smiled to myself before taking off to my dorm.
