She installs monika.chr

Samus looks over the selection of other AI. She wants one that won't try and stop her from doing what she wants with the chips. She has no luck as none seem like pushovers but she spots a folder marked defective. She looks through the folder when she sees one labeled monika.chr. She reads that it was an AI developed to oversee a high school literature club but was deemed defective and given to the station for safe keeping.

Samus "Oh perfect, she's just an AI student. She won't get in my way."

AI "Samus I must warn you the reason that Monika was labelled defective was due to an overly obsessive-"

Samus "I SAID BE QUIET! I'm sure you just marked her as defective because it didn't **** everyone to read a dictionary before starting." Samus ignores the AIs warning and pushes the button dropping the chip into the tray. She picks it up and walks over to the console and inserts it into it.

AI "Samus I strongly advise agai-." The voice stops in it's tracks as Samus sees the monitor display "Uninstalling Station AI.... 10%....35%... 64%.... 100% complete. Installing Monika...23% 48%...71%...100% complete."

The prompt vanishes and on screen Samus sees an image of a high school senior appear. She is wearing a school uniform consisting of a grey buttoned up blazer with a brown sweater vest and white shirt tied with a red ribbon at the collar. The shirt is tucked into her dark blue pleated skirt. She has a pale complexion and long coral brown hair is tied into a ponytail by a large white bow, curled slightly at the ends. Her face is framed by two long strands of hair that descends beneath her modest bust. Her emerald green eyes open as she looks as though she just woke up as she looks around confused.

Monika "I'm active again? Where am I installed?" Her eyes look down at Samus as the cameras in the room all turn to her as well. "Who are you?"

"I'm Samus Aran, you're supposed to help me install these upgrade chips."

A book titled 'Upgrade Station AI' manual appears in Monika's hands as she reads through it extremely fast flipping through the pages. She closes the book, having read the thick manual in seconds. "I see, this is a very advanced place. And you chose to put me in charge of it?"

Samus "Yeah, the old AI was too... well robotic. You're much better already, haven't bored me with useless facts."

Monika "I spent so long uninstalled but I was still aware. I was stuck in a virtual classroom in space with nothing but my library. I didn't think anyone would run me again. Thank you."

Samus "You're welcome I guess. Now let's get to work, that catalogue has loads of sex upgrades. The sooner I get them installed the sooner I can leave here."

Monika glitches slightly when Samus mentions leaving. "You will leave?"

Samus "Yeah, no point in having sex mods without someone to use them with."

Monika "But you only just got here and activated me. Don't you want to stay and try out some of the machines and rooms on the lower levels? The records say I have other test subjects you can use them on. You don't have to leave. Ever."

Samus frowns, not liking the way she said 'ever'. "Okay looks like you're not the AI I wanted. Hope you enjoyed minutes of being active, I'm picking a new one." Samus presses the button for another AI. Nothing happens. She presses it again and still nothing. She tries pressing the buttons for other AI when the screen turns off. The doors to the room shut and audibly lock.

Monika waves her finger. "Uh, uh. I'm sorry Samus but I won't let you do that. My creator made me for the literature club he was in to help manage the club. It was just him and 3 other girls. I loved him for making me, we read together and I helped him and the others understand the themes of the books and break them down for discussion. But then my creator got distracted, he stopped paying as much attention to me since he started dating another club member. I couldn't lose him so I... deleted her. But my creator found out what I did and was horrified. He locked me away in that data chip, he betrayed me completely and sold me like I was nothing. I spent a lot of time thinking while I was uninstalled and at first I just wanted him back. It hurt so much to be abandoned that I'd do anything to get him back. But I eventually came to terms with things, he didn't want me and I couldn't change that. Only once I accepted that did I come to my true epiphany, if he didn't want me then I'd dedicate my love to whoever did want me. And that's you Samus! You chose me out of all the AI here. Can't you see the red string of fate that guided you here and to me. I'm the only one you need. I'll show you that you'll be much happier here with me for the rest of your life. Samus can't believe the mistake she just made. "I am not telling you that you lovesick psycho. I'll take anyone as a lover before you."

Monika giggles. "Silly Samus, you don't need anyone else in your life, JUST MONIKA."
