_Maybe I should have teamed up with that engineer, _Ellie thought as she wandered down a ruined, blood soaked hallway. _No, he would only slow me down. _Ellie stopped walking, then turned around, facing the direction she came from. She fidgeted for a moment, then put one foot forward. She looked up at the ceiling as she heard a creaking sound, then back down, and started creeping forward again. Just as she put her other foot down, the creaking in the ceiling grew louder, and the sound of groaning metal filled the air.

“Oh, shit!” Ellie shouted, leaping backward before the ceiling could crush her. She cussed again as she saw that the way she came from was now blocked off.
