She goes to the audition

She picks up her handbag, phone and purse and opens the garage.

She sits into her mini-cooper. She’s in love with that car. Sometimes she jokes, that she might love it more than her husband. First she stops at her parent’s old house to pick her port-folio. Usually she gets sad when she walks into the house but today she is focused. Picks up her port-folio and some pictures from her short modelling career and leaves for the audition.

She finally reaches the venue of the audition. She parks in the hotel parking lot and gets off her car. She walks to the reception and asks for room number 38. When the receptionist hands her a key, she is a bit taken aback.

“I’m sorry, miss. I’m not here for the room. Maybe I got something wrong. I’m here for an audition.”

“That is right, mam. The audition is reserved for room 38 and here is your key. The elevator is further down the corridor. Good luck, mam.”

That was really change. Why would she get a room key for an audition. She laughed as she walked down the corridor and got into the elevator. When she reached the 4th floor, her heart started throbbing. It was her first audition after so long. She first knocked on the door to room 38. No answer.

“Well, I’ve come that far, whatever.”

She opens the door. The room is empty, except for a camera in front of the huge bed. She is a bit confused, if it is all going to be a video conference then she could have done it at home. Why in that hotel? She walked towards the camera and notices what looks like an envelope with the words “Open and read”.

She opens the letter and starts reading:

“Dear Participant,

First, we would like to congratulate you for your bravery and adventure spirit. You have already passed the first test in doing so. My company is called ‘Virteck’. We are experts in VIP virtual modelling. I am sure you are confused by all this but soon you will understand everything. I’m Dave. I’m the CEO of the company and we need a new model for the agency. However, the term model might be used a bit out of context here. We will come back to that a bit later.

Let me, now tell you about the advantages of working in our company. Your basic wage is 90$ per hour + bonuses. The amount of money you make depends solely on you.
