She goes through the door behind her

Bethany shook her head clear when she realised that this was the perfect chance to get out of here before she was caught. She looked around quickly and found another door right behind her that seemingly led to a corridor. She sidestepped through, leaving the two lovers to their privacy.

The corridor led to a split pathway. She could hear people talking and steps coming from all directions, so she picked a path and followed it as far as she could. She had no clue where to start looking, no earthly idea where they could be keeping Gwen and Blair. The only thing Bethany could do was hope she would stumble upon some answers soon.

Her wish would soon be answered, as the young woman came upon a lift with two guards exiting it. Bethany moved with surprising speed as she hid herself behind a stray door. The guards were talking loudly to themselves.

“So they took them to the top floor?”

“Yeah, they won't last long with the boss.”

“Shit man, he isn’t really gonna...?”

“What do you think?”

Bethany had heard more than enough. As the guards left the scene, she hopped into the lift and pressed the button that would send her straight to the top.
