She gives him a demo

"So..I-Bod is not just the name of the group you're being tasked to," the woman continued, motioning for him to take a seat as she closed the door behind them and walked into the conference room, making sure to press a button that automatically closed the blinds to the room. "It's the name of the device in your hands that was given to you by the director. There are 5 of those currently in existence. One is kept in R&D at Langley, you got 1 and the three other teams have the rest. Very high tech, very hush-hush."

He looked at the tablet in his hand, nothing larger than maybe an I-Pad Mini, though it was a bit bulkier than one of those thin tablets on the market. "So what...is it some sort of communications device?"

She, instead of explaining, tapped the screen and brought up a small menu that indicated he select a target (her) and then select the camera to focus on the subject (her, once again). "There. Once you select a target, you tap a button to lock onto it...like so." The tablet brought up a digital picture of her onto the screen. "This then brings up a first menu that gives you, the user, the chance to modify the physical appearance of the target. Since it is calibrated to your partner, you wouldn't be able to make drastic changes to me but minor ones, definitely. You can go pretty deep in how much you change, as you notice in the grayed out menu options. Since I'm not the one entuned to the machine, you can only do minor adjustments."

Reid looked a bit skeptical but then noticed two submenus were highlighted for him. AGE and Skin Tone. "Um..?"

She smiled. "Age does that, you can adjust my physical appearance to reflect an age, either younger or older. Skin tone is just that, many different ways to explain or describe, the easiest being appearance. You would be able to adjust how light or dark my skin would be. Within reason, of course. Your partner, James, you would be able to edit more extensively at this point to something either as white or as dark as you would like." She motioned for him to tap the "age" button. "As you can see, the age function is pretty extensive, you can alter a person's physical age appearance from a baby to the grave, well..almost. It does alter them fully so, if you were to select 12, you could change my body to a 12 year-old. Same if you were to go to 80."

Reid tapped the button and looked. Most of the options were grayed out but there two options open to him: 18 and 42. Since the woman in front of him was the same age as he was, 27, he wondered what her choice would be. She looked at him with a smile and didn't really respond, waiting for him to make a choice.
