She explores the cave

Druuna stood still for the longest time, listening. Her eyes glanced around at the cave walls. All she could hear were noises from outside the cave and what sounded like the trickle of water inside the cave. She could hear nothing else and decided, perhaps, that it was the noise of her own movements amplified by the cave. Satisfied that there was nothing, she pressed onward through the cave cautiously.

Deeper and deeper into the bowels of the cave Druuna walked. The darkness closed in around her, and she could feel the downward slope of the ground under her feet for quite some distance before it seemed to level off once again. The sound of trickling water had also begun to grow louder. Strangely enough she could now see a glimmer of light up ahead of her in the distance. This fascinated her, and she quickened her pace toward it.

When she arrived at the source of the light, Druuna found herself standing at the mouth of an enormous chamber. Shafts of light streamed in from high above. The trickling water turned out to be a small waterfall that fed into a good sized pool of water that looked very cool and inviting. All around her various plant life flourished, some which she knew to be edible. She could see on the far side of the chamber the cavern tunnel continued. A cavern entrance, or exit, was also to her left and right, making a total of three new directions she could choose from if she decided to go on.

Druuna walked to the water's edge and knelt down before it. She cupped her hands and dipped them into the water, and took a drink. It was as cool and refreshing as it had looked. She continued to drink until she had taken her fill. Then on a whim, she stripped of her clothes and waded out into the cool, inviting water. For the most part the water stayed a little more than waist deep as she continued to wade out deeper into the pool. She dunked herself under the water, then decided to swim over to where the waterfall was.

Meanwhile the creature that had followed Druuna stealthily approached her pile of clothes. It oozed its way forward, following her scent. Yes, there was the garment that had attracted its attention to her, a pair of thongs. The oozing slime covered the thongs and quickly devoured them. "Mmm, delicious" it thought to itself. Then it thought it would have some real fun with this human by feeding on her sweet nectar, and so it transformed itself into the same exact pair of thongs it had just devoured. "I can have her juices any time I desire" it thought to itself. "We'll have such a wonderful coexistence together, until I have to find a new host. Many children she will bear me without even knowing it. They will be like droplets running down her thighs." The transformed slime thongs laughed quietly to itself as it lay in waiting for Druuna.
