In the cave

Walking down towards the valley, Druuna figured that the cave had to be closer than whatever it was that was smoking.

And besides, there was always a chance that the cave contained something of value to her, maybe even some remains from past times.

When she reached the cave, she stopped and listen to try and find out if there seemed to be something living inside the cave.

Satisfied with not hearing anything moving inside, Druuna stepped into the cave.

As soon as she had entered it, she noticed that it seemed to run deep into the hill.

Curious and unwilling to spend a night in a spot that she hadn?t examined, Druuna pushed on further into the cave.

As she walked further, it became darker as less light was able to penetrate this far inside the cave, and she also felt a cold draft coming from somewhere deep within.

Less at ease, Druuna still continued forwards, careful not to make too much.

Suddenly, she heard something moving!

Or did she?

Druuna wasn?t sure if she had imagined it. And if she hadn?t, had whatever it was that was moving heard her?

Standing completely still, barely even breathing, Druuna swore to herself that she couldn?t hear anything.

Still, was it really that wise to move deeper into the cave?

Maybe it was better to just leave?
