She explains

Dr. Ling paused her explanation of her new invention as Sam asked his questions. Thinking back to what Sam had shown her this morning she recalled the phone he had had in his hands. "It never technically got a name, but it was meant to increase the size of organic materials. Being able to make things like food for example much larger to feed more people, or in my case to feed me for less money. It would've ended world hunger if we could have ever gotten it to work." The doctor sighed before clicking her remote again.

Her body compressed in on itself becoming less fat and more curvy. She was getting closer and closer to looking how he remembered her this morning. "How would someone control how big something got with it? And what if someone wanted to reverse it?" Sam asked, hoping she could tell him how to control it.

"Never got that far into that project I'm afraid. We spent months working on it and never once got any results. Not on fruits, vegetables, metals, nothing. Since we couldn't get it working we never got around to making settings for it. It was essentially a camera since we removed all of the phone functions from it." She said as she clicked her remote again.

Her body once again compacted itself into a way more manageable size. She still weighed multiple tons, yet now she looked like she couldn't be more than a few hundred pounds. "Why do you ask Sam?" She asked as she started drawing up plans for her gravity converter.
