She doesn't...

Jaime ran for another ten minutes before losing her footing in some mud, sending her sliding on her back down a mud covered hill. She suddenly came to a stop and felt the wind get knocked out of her, like a boxer had just punched her in the gut, water rushing past her, trying to drag her down the hill...though she wouldn't budge. Looking down at her belly her waist belt looked incredibly tight, taking a look over her shoulder Jaime saw that she's gotten caught by a branch.

"W-well...that was lucky..." A cold and thankful Jaime stammered.

She was not lucky.

The belt wasn't designed to hold the weight of a whole person, or even half of one and snapped, staying stuck in the tree and leaving her to slide down the hill...almost seeming like some kind of muddy water slide, it sent her tossing and turning, before sending her flying over an edge.

Sensing her end was near, Jaime closed her eyes and accepted her fate, she liked to think she lived a good life...she'd just run into a bunch of bad luck all of a sudden...

This time, she was lucky.

Feeling blood rushing to her head, she was reassured that she actually hadn't died...looking down...or rather up at herself she saw her hiking boot covered boot was caught in a branch...her other foot sadly seemed to have lost it's boot on the way down, leaving the bare limb hanging uselessly.

But this boot...Jaime's last item of clothing...had saved her life.

Exhausted she started laughing, hanging there laughing like a madwoman at herself...oh she must've been a sight to behold for sure.

Then her bad luck started to resurface...

She felt her foot slipping. Not her boot...her foot. Slowly she could see that boot barely managing to contain her foot...soon slipping out and sending Jaime falling back into a river, the shoe remaining in the tree, innocent as can be.
