Chapter 5 by porneia
What are your plans?
She doesn't look like the theater type.
Though greatly amused by the banter, let alone having the sexist woman you have ever seen standing a foot away from you, you try to focus on this almost surreal experience.
“Forgive me.” You half joke, “You don't look like the theater type. I'm surprised Anne conned you into seeing something as reportedly as stodgy as 'Hello Mr. Shuster!'”
“Well.” The shapely raven-haired beauty gives a cat-like coy grin while remaining close. “Dr. Rorbeck, and Leslie, have been very concerned about you. Rorbeck came up with the venue and Leslie highly recommended we meet. She thought I could use a little Metropolis in my life and a little Gotham in yours.”
“That makes sense.” You think to yourself. Though a kind woman, Anne Rorbeck is as exciting as stale white bread. As for Leslie Thompkins, anyone who can run a charitable clinic in Crime Alley, Gotham would know some interesting people.
“So doc.” Your date doesn't wait for your reply. “If I'm not the theater type, then what type do you think I am?”
How do you answer?
