“Oh, you must be the girl Brian has been talking about non-stop! It is so wonderful to meet you! He’s really lucky to court such a beautiful young woman! Andrea is it?”, gushed Brian’s mother.

Andrew froze in fear, as unlike with Brian and his parents, he had met Emily before.

He would just have to keep confident, and bluff his way through the encounter, hoping that she wouldn’t catch on.

“Yep! It’s like super cool to meet you Mrs Brian!”, Andrea giddily declared.

“Please, call me Emily. Now how about you tell me all about yourself?”, Brian’s mother politely replied.

“You ladies keep each other company while I track done my wallet”, said Brian, leaving the two of them alone together.

‘Well this is just great. Brian’s being way too forward getting a girl to meet the parents at this stage. And now I gotta talk a bunch of BS and keep his mom off the scent. Godammit’, thought Andrew, as he spun his mother yarns about Andrea’s old life, moving to the area, and meeting Brian.

‘This girl sure is a ditz! But she’s sweet as a button and gorgeous to boot despite lacking boobs. I’m so proud that Brian could bag a girl like this! I need to do everything in my power to help them enjoy themselves!’, thought Emily as she pondered ways to help her son out.

“Found it. Let’s hit the road, babe”, announced Brian, wallet in hand.

Andrew was grateful for the save, and got up to say her goodbyes, only for Emily to interrupt with “Ooh, just one thing guys. As part of my job I get free tickets to local events, and it just so happen there are two tickets to that Jojo person’s concert next weekend that I could get. If you two were interested of course”.

“You mean Joji? Ah yeah, that sound’s awesome, thanks mom! You want to go to that, babe?”, Brian enthusiastically asked Andrea.

Andrew was keen on the former Filthy Frank and seeing as Andrea would be disappearing after tonight it wouldn’t hurt to accept, and it would be the polite thing to do, so replied with “Oooh that sounds, like, totes amazing, thank you sooooo much Emily!”.

“Wonderful! I’ll get them tomorrow then. Now you two run along and have fun! Andrea, it was simply lovely to meet you!”, Emily waxed lyrical.

Brian and Andrea drove away, towards their date location…
