She continues

"For the sake of Alice I don't really have much of a choice, do I?" Rebecca said, giving a slight smile in Alice's direction to try and cheer her up. Instead of smiling back as would've been a normal response, Alice's gaze went elsewhere, trying to avoid any interaction or contact what so ever.

The card vanished in a puff of smoke and flames. It was the third time already, but it still caught Gretchen by surprise and she flinched, just like Himari had done a couple of rounds prior. Even Alice, who'd been avoiding any sort of eye contact since her round looked at Rebecca in anticipation of what was to come. Both of the previous changes had been impossible to spot at a glance, this time however the cards effect was immediately obvious.

Dark spots became to form all over Rebecca's skin. Eventually her entire skin was covered in a deep tan.

"Wow. It looks like you've been tanning every day for years!" Gretchen exclaimed as she examined her skin up close. The improved vision really was a godsend.

The now tan girl looked down at her hands in shock. She'd never really had the genes to get tanned. Despite a very active youth with outdoor activities she never got that healthy sun-kissed-look.

"I.. Uhm, it's alright I guess?" Rebecca really wasn't a fan. Sure some might find tan skin attractive, but it didn't appeal to her. She didn't want to upset Alice though. Compared to her situation this was rather innocent. She put on a fake smile and passed the die over to Himari, who was the last one to go.
Himari looked at the die with uncertainty. Alice's card was brutal. Gretchen's card would've been worthless given her already perfect eyesight. And finally, Rebecca's card would've looked really bad on her. There was a certain stigma around tans in Japan. She hadn't actually grown up in Japan though, being born and raised in the states. Still, her parents very much imprinted their Japanese values into her. The last thing she wanted to do was come home looking like some field hand with some horrible tan.

Despite fearing what possible outcomes would ensue, she rolled the die with the intention of picking continue no matter what, for the sake of her friend. To her dismay it was a measly two spots that came out on top.
The piece mimicking Himari's appearance moved to the same square as Gretchen's piece was on.

Rebecca drew a yellow card for her and read it aloud.

Himari made her best efforts to not seem upset with what she just heard. Every line seemed to carry it's own theme. First there was the act out part, then increase in assertion or something? What did that mean exactly? Some more confidence or a stronger will would certainly do her some good, but was that truly what was meant? And what about the color pink?
By far the worst part about this whole card was the last word. Kink. It's not a word Himari was awfully familiar with. She went on her phone to google what it meant. She could probably have just asked any of her friends, apart from maybe Alice who'd most likely give her a cold shoulder. It would probably have been for the better. Himari was overly innocent. Sure she'd had sex with her boyfriend, but she was unwilling to do anything other than the most vanilla of sex. Missionary, no ifs and or buts about it, all to her boyfriends chagrin.

The very first definition of the word kink on google was "a sharp twist or curve in something that is otherwise straight".. Anyone who's not a complete prude wouldn't think of this as the primary definition.
That is however exactly what Himari did. Upon reading it she tried to apply that definition to herself, in the most naive way possible. The first thing that came to mind was her hair. It did make sense, when she thought about it. Pink hair would be an act of rebellion towards her parents for sure, so it could be considered being a little bit assertive over at least her own person. Kink could be interpreted as a bend. Whilst on the topic of hair and bends she came to the conclusion that it had to mean wavy hair. She'd always had straight hair. A bit more waves would only give her some extra volume if anything, a welcome change. She could also just dye her hair back once they were done anyways, leaving her practically the same.

Himari exhaled a sigh of relief at what she thought was a freebie. If all her cards were like this going forward the game might not end up being so bad after all..
