She brings you to her house.

Faith drives along in full concentration of the road it seems she prefers it this way and you like the fact it leaves you with quiet time for your thoughts, you watch the roads fly by as you look out the window and you start to notice she had turned into one of the better neighborhoods in fact you notice its not one of the apartment districts at all. This is not to say that some of the apartment districts are not nice or anything but they tend not to hold much of a candle to many of the area's of the city with houses. Thou like any place, some of the houses can be run down just like the apartments. You realize the school provides a pretty good place to live for Charlie on the whole, and you know your own family has a nice places as well.

You watch house after house fly by, each one a bit better then the last. After a short while with your thoughts and considerations Faith pulls up to a house, and says " We are here."

You look at Faith funny for a moment and then ask " Why are we here? I mean you made it clear you wanted to show me something but why show me a house?"

Faith smiles and says " Well, it's my house. My ex-husband always left for work early, so he can leave work early so he can return early and avoid traffic all around."

You shrug and ask " So what did you wanted to show me? That for some reason, on a teachers income you afforded a nice house?"

Faith shakes her head and says " I just wanted to show you it, I know many people live in the apartments. I know often a family even owns there apartment. Mostly like in the case of yours, and many others. I just thought you would like to see it is all." She reaches into the back seat and picks up her baby and walks up to the door and unlocks it.

You follow behind her and the house is bigger on the inside then you would expect from the front and outside, it seems it stretch back so it looks small out front, you realize there is even a bit of a yard in the front. You shrug when you consider it, you know as well as anyone that owning a house is rare because most of the space in the city was reserved to housing projects that are for building apartments because of the issue of providing people with this much space.

Faith leads you into the sitting room, its pretty big. At least twice the size of the living room at Charlies, you look at the furniture and notice its almost new. Pretty much everything inside the house looks new, your really shocked over all consider the fact you know she got the house. You wonder if her husband helped pay for it or if it was all her.

She pats the seat next to her and says " We got a bit of time and I was going to feed the baby feel free to sit down and relax. Nothing here is going to bite you, besides me maybe and even then it would be all in good fun. If you like, you can always look around. There is two floors plus a basement, thou I have been thinking I might need to add another floor sooner or later."

You look at the walls and realize they are wood panels instead of plaster and paint, you look and notice a number of other things and realize the materials that had been used to build this house had not only been hard to find or get but are really expensive the. You walk over to the wall and touch it, and its clear to you that its real wood.

Faith notices you touching the wall and says " I wanted the place to feel earthy and the best way to do that was with the wood, if I could have done it in stone I might have, but I felt the wood had a much more warm feeling to it."

You shrug at this, you had no idea that they even allowed wood to be used in this way any more. You look around a little more and realize floor in deed is stone instead of wood you wonder why she went this way, but then again her thoughts might have been to make it feel like the outside maybe? You find a nice spot and sit down, against a wall that is in a corner wall so to speak that allows you to watch Faith.

You smile at her and say " I like this spot, it feels very nice. I like how it has a corner, that is in an otherwise open room like this. I always seem to prefer to sit with my back to a wall, over a chair if I can help it."

Faith smiles and says " It is a good spot, it allows you to watch the whole room, you do realize don't you? that this is not even the living room? This is a sitting room dinning area, see the table? the living room is down stairs, in the basement. The house two bedrooms on this floor as well as a shared bathroom for it, as well as a guest bathroom. And this room and the kitchen, this floor also leads out onto the deck in the back. The top floor has three bed rooms and two bathrooms between it as well, including the master bathroom. There is also a small sitting area with a desk in the hallway for getting paper work and the like done, the master bedroom leads out on to the deck and the two decks attached with a set of stairs. The top deck has a hot tub, the bottom deck has an area made of concrete that is got a grill on it as well as other things like a fridge and so on so you can keep things fresh when cooking. The basement, has the living room as well as two more bedrooms and one bathroom. As well as the garage, and the laundry area."

You look at her amazed and ask " How did you build this place? I mean, the cost a lone is crazy."

Faith nods and says " My parents bought it for me, my ex-husbands parents also pitched in a bit of money but it was not more then 10 percent, and that pretty much only help cover the outdoor stuff. There is a small pool as well out there, anyway. It was decided since I am the mother of this sweet little baby, that any claims to ownership to this house was lost by him. His parents are pissed he was a failure of a husband. And even offered to help a bit of the property tax this year to help make it up. I get the feeling they always liked me more then there own son. And my parents helped pay for the rest, it was a wedding present to me. His parents paid for the outdoor stuff for the same reason, but anyway. The taxes are not much really compared to the size, its no worse then paying to rent or own an apartment really. And with all this space you know? I am going to have to have someone to live with sooner or later because there is just so much space."

You look at Faith a moment and ask " Are you asking me to move in?"

She looks at you a second and then says " Not right away, Lord no. At least not til things are sorted out properly, I mostly will have Kaylee move in. And maybe Charlie and her sister if they really want too. I mean They can share the bottom floor if they like, but anyway. I just thought I would show it to you, Kaylee had been telling me that she had talked to the government people and chances are if your group of women grows much larger. They will be looking to build a house for you and us, thou I had suggested they just expand this one. Which is the reason I brought up the idea for another floor. Thou with the number of children you mostly will end up with the fact is, this place will need to expand a bit more then that."

You smirk at her and ask " Maybe they can buy one of the houses next to this one? and some how connect them together with a floor between them? I mean it would resolve the issue of expanding it, as well as adding the floor as well as expending the size of the house as a whole."

Faith smirks and says " That is a hell of an idea, the house next to this one if you did not notice is about the same size. The same guy who built this one built that one, and it was built to mimic this one because someone had admired how this one looked. Maybe I can talk to Kaylee and see what she can do to get the renovation started to alter the two together."

You nod and say " And maybe you can have them build a hallway between the two basements as well, if it will not unsettle the two buildings damaging them."

Faith nods and says " I will talk to her." As she finish talking, she burps the baby and tucks her tit back in and says " She had her fill, and I am sure we can get going now. I will make sure you get a better look of the whole place once my ex-husband gets all of his stuff removed. I would prefer you did not have to see it all."

You just nod and say " Its fine, I like this place. Thou it is a bit far from the school, and my family."

Faith nods and says " Not much could be done with that, it was the only way to get the permits to build it in the first place. And I know you had been looking at the walls and floor funny, but its honestly a good nature feel without making this a log cabin if I do say so myself."

You nod and smile and help her to her feet, and kiss her and say " We should get going so we are not late, but I think Kaylee and Charlie and Skye would love to live here."

Faith smirks and says " Kaylee already has a room that is hers, she just only uses it when she stays over for a meal or the likes and we go to work together."

You just nod and say lets get going, You take the baby from her so she can close and lock the door properly walk it down to the car, and place it into the car seat. tightening the belts and climbing into the passenger seat yourself, you realize you had not bothered to ask Faith what the babies name is, you know she had told the class what it was but you had not paid much attention to it or her husbands name, then again it might have had to do with the fact you had disliked him from faiths stories all a long either way. Faith gets into the car and drives away from the house.

Faith says " I was not sure if you prefer a quiet morning or not so on the way here I did not wish to say much, and I had noticed after you wake me and even the others you had been pretty quiet on the whole."

You nod and say " I guess you realized when I said my sister made a big deal out of this or that yesterday and torment it gave me that maybe I could use some quiet time so I thank you." You lean over and kiss her on the cheek as she drives.

She smiles real bright and says " No problem, there is a fast way to get to the school from here. The high way is not far from the school and an entrance to the high way is not far from here. So we can get to it faster from here then from Charlies apartment honestly, even with the wait over here we might get there before Charlie and Skye do."

You shrug not knowing much about the roads around here, you had been so use to walking from place to place or using a bus or train or what have you to get around that you never bothered to learn roads to much or to drive. You do know how to use a map so its not all lost you could figure it out if you had to, you could also lead someone straight to her house if asked. So its not a huge issue even if you don't know the roads.

Faith pulls onto the Highway and says " Its 15 minutes from here mostly, and it was 5 to 10 minutes from Charlies to my house and it will mostly take Charlie driving on the city or town roads at least 30 minutes. If it takes about 15 minutes to walk from your house you can see how its about the same as a whole."

You just nod and relax for a bit as you watch the things around you fly by.
