She begs you to believe her

You hold the trembling girl, stroking her back as she clings to you.

"You have to tell me everything Chanel. Everything. I can't help you if I don't know everything that happened."

"That's all...I swear..." she snuffles against your chest. "The one who...who took me...at the lake...I didn't get a good look...it was dark...he was...he was masked...he just took me...**** me...."

"Tell me about Ronnie. Why would men take her? You have to tell me Chanel. If I'm going to help you I have to know."

"I don't know!" she says frantically, clutching at you, her face turning up to implore you. "I don't know! You have to believe me! I didn't do anything! I didn't! Oh please believe me Mr. Sharp! I didn't do anything! I don't know what happened! They took her...and later she was dead! I don't know! You have to believe me!"

Her pretty face is crumpled and red with fear and grief, her lips trembling as she implores you to believe her. Her warm body quivers in your arms, her terror as palpable as her need to convince you of her innocence.

"I'm telling you everything Mr. Sharp," she murmurs pathetically. "Everything I know...Please believe me." She looks into your face, her eyes wide in pretended innocence, though you can see the deceit flickering within them. Her lips part softly as she clings to you, begging for you to believe her.
