Carrie had thought long and hard about what she wanted to ask John, and she kept coming to the same realization every time, and that was that she wanted him to run away with her.
"What did you want to ask me Carrie?" he asks her, a quizzical look on his face as they lay on the bed in her bus, noticing an apprehensive expression on Carrie's face.
"John, baby, I want to know if you'd like to run away with me," she asked him, twisting her wedding ring as the words came out of her mouth, hoping he wouldn't try to make a big deal out of it.
"Carrie, you are the mother of my child now," he tells her, brushing the hair out of her face, "and if this is what you want to with your life, then I would be a fool to turn you down. I accept."
"Thanks baby," she tells him, before getting Mark's attention as he drives the bus, letting him know that she needed to go to Nashville to make an official announcement about everything that had happened to her since that night she was almost **** in Dallas.
"I hope this goes well," she tells him, kissing him deeply as they laid in the bed, "but if it doesn't, I'll still have a great life with you, either way."
Kissing him one more time, she fell asleep in his arms as the bus headed for Nashville and the announcement that would forever change Carrie Underwood's life.
