She admits it, but is upset

Alexa looked out the window, tears forming in her eyes. “Lexi, please,” Michelle said as she rested a hand on Alexa’s back. “It’s okay.”

“Yes,” Alexa mumbled.

“What?” Michelle said, surprised to receive an answer.

“I...” Alexa said. “I still have nighttime problems sometimes. Now pull over and dump me already.”

“W-what?” Michelle said. “Alexa, please. I just... I’m sorry I shouldn’t have asked. But I’m not going to pull over and dump you. Alexa, that doesn’t matter to me.”

“But it should!” Alexa shouted. “I’m a pathetic baby who still wets the bed despite being 22!”

Alexa yanked the car door open and jumps out of the car. Alexa stumbles and falls, scraping her knee as the car was still moving, but she got up and kept going, crying.

“Alexa, wait!” Michelle called out.

Michelle cursed as she turned the car around and followed Alexa. Alexa fell to the ground as she was running and just sat there, crying. Michelle pulled over and parked the car before jumping out and racing to Alexa’s side. Alexa didn’t look at Michelle.

“Alexa,” Michelle said with concern, sitting down next to her.

“Why? Why did you ask me out?!” Alexa cried. “To make fun of me? To humiliate me? Why!”

“A-alexa,” Michelle said, taken aback. “I would NEVER do that to you. I asked you out because I like you a lot. We’ve been through thick and thin. I already knew you had problems before.”

“But that was when I was 7!” Alexa yelled. “I’m not a kid anymore, Michelle. Yet... I feel even more like a baby than I was. I... I hate it. I hate me. And you should too. Why would you want to be with me, knowing I still wear diapers like a little baby.”

Michelle brushed Alexa’s hair out of the way, looking at her. “You’re beautiful. You’re kind. You’re charming. You’re cute. You’re so so smart. Alexa, you wetting yourself is not going to change all of that. So we have a problem we have to get through, big deal. That does not change my feelings for you.”

Michelle leaned in and kissed Alexa. “You should just leave me. I’ll only embarrass you.”

“I’m not leaving you, Alexa,” Michelle said. “I love you.”

Alexa shook her head. “How can you love me?”

“How can I not?” Michelle responded.

Alexa leaned her head against Michelle’s shoulder. “I hate my life.”

“Shhh, don’t say that,” Michelle said as she kissed Alexa again. “Let me help you, Alexa. Forget the dinner. We can just spend time at your house. I can help clean you up, and we can just have some fun.”
