She accepts her fate

Once she was a sufficient distance away from the Captain's office, Julie slowed her pace down to a dejected walk. "Well, that could have gone better..." She thought to herself. At least she hadn't been disciplined, or drummed out of the service, or eaten by an alien/dragon/dinosaur thing, all of which seemed like real possibilities to her while she was squirming in the hot seat.

Speaking of hot, now that the Captain brought it up, it really was hot as hell on this ship! Julie had thought at first that it might have been first day jitters that had her sweating, but it really did feel like 90 degree weather in this hallway! When she signed up, she thought she'd be spending her career in cool air conditioned work spaces, not cruising around the galaxy in a flying sauna! Maybe the Captain did have the right idea about minimal uniforms after all...

It was just about at that point in Julie's train of thought that a pair of her fellow crew members walked down the hall, one an enormous plant apparently achieving locomotion by walking on it's roots, the other a tall blue furry thing with long, skinny arms and legs and big bug-like red eyes. Both of which wore patches similar to the one over her left breast and nothing else but if either of them were walking around with any kind of private parts exposed, Julie couldn't have told you where they were. Neither being payed her any mind as they passed her, but Julie still couldn't help but feel self conscious to be so nearly naked in front of her peers. Their presence made her more keenly aware of the way her unrestrained breasts swayed and bounced with every step and how strange it felt to be walking around in public with nothing at all covering her butt. She sighed. She really hoped she could make it to her work station without encountering too many more prying eyes...
