"Well, sweetie," Candace's father consoled his naked daughter, "you can go upstairs to your room and see what's left up there, but you might not like what you see."

"Umm, okay Dad, thanks!" the nubile nude dashed up the stairs before anyone else could get a word in to the guest of honor

"Gerald," Candace's mother confided in her husband, "do you think she's okay?"

"I don't know, honey, but I don't think she'll like what she sees."

"Wow, Janice," one of the partygoers asked Candace's mom, "maybe she did a polar bear dive and it went wrong."

"I don't know," Janice's voice lowered, "I should go up and see how she's doing."

Meanwhile, Candace audibly flung open her door and flipped the light switch, only to find a barren cell of wooden flooring, plaster periwinkle walls with white polka dots, and a white plaster ceiling with a "ceiling titty" light fixture. She looked in the closet and saw similar results.

"Honey," Janice had caught up to her and was standing in the doorway, "we sold all of your furniture, and donated your spare clothes to Goodwill."

"Why would you do that?!??!" Candace shouted at her mother.

"Don't raise your voice at me. We were really strapped for cash after the pandemic, so we sold the stuff that made the most money. We also didn't want to waste space with clothes that probably no longer fit you and you didn't want, so we donated them to the less fortunate. Honey, I'm very sorry," she went in to hug her naked and distressed daughter.

"Now what am I supposed to do?" Candace could only cry out.

"I don't think there's anything you can do tonight. We thought you'd have clothes and bedding, and would sleep on the couch. I'd give you something to wear but everything's currently in the laundry. You've been through a lot, though, so how about you relax and enjoy the party? We made your favorite treats!"

Candace dreaded the thought of going back downstairs in her current condition, but also didn't feel like disobeying her mother.
