She's saved

Defender took one last glup of air before the her head went under. She knew it would only by her less than a minute but she was ****. It was no use though. She was too well secured. Just as her vision started to blur from a lack of oxygen, she felt the weight give drop from her ankles. She then felt an arm wrap around her waist, pulling her up to the surface. As Defender's head broke the surface of the water, she gasped for air. "OH MY GOD THANK YOU!!! I THOUGHT I WAS A GONER!!!" She yelled in relief. "You still will be if I don't get you loose from these chains Love." Love....wait. "Ace?" Defender said as she freed her wrist from the chains. "You didn't think I was going to let that woman kill you did you?" He said as they swam to shore.

As Defender reached the top of the ladder out of the canal, she was meant by the sight of Sparta lying ****. By the looks of things, a bunch of ship parts had been dropped on her head. Defender looked back at Phantom Ace. "Did you do that?" Ace laughed. "Not the first time I've dealt with someone like her." Defender took her cape and rang the water of it. "Well....I appriacte the save Ace. I thought I was a goner there." Ace bowed. "Anything for you my lady." Defender rolled her eyes though she was blushing. "Now about that painting." Ace scratched the back of his head. "Uh....I will return it. I always do." Defender crossed her arms. "There is also the matter of breaking and entering." "Yeah...well..." Defender grabbed hold of him by the collar of his jacket and pulled him close. "Saying the damsel in distress." She said huskly. "Wait wha...." As Defender pulled away she looked at Ace with half-lidded eyes. Ace himself was left speechless. He had been playing with the heroine a great deal, wasn't really expecting this. "Uh.....does this mean I'm free to go?" Defender thought about this. He was still a criminal and had commited a crime just hours ago but he had proven not to be a dangerous one and had saved her life. Perhaps he deserved a reward.
