Bait

Sometime later, Defender was down at an old ship yard. She was hanging from a crane by her wrist with another link of chain wrapped around her ankles. From which hung a cinderblock. It would have been comfortable if not for the protection granted by her built but the chains where beyond what her strength could break. She was completely helpless. Sparta was standing before the Heroine. Amused by her own handy work.

"So what is your plan Sparta?" Sparta walked away from the heroine towards the crane controls. "I had thought you would have figured that out by now heroine." She said as she operated the crane. Defender found herself being raised into the air, moved to her left and then lowered over an empty canal where ships where built. It was slowly becoming clear to Defender what was going to happen. The canal was going to fill up with water and with the weights around her ankles, she'd be submerged. Her suit protected her from all forms of harm but she could still drown. Sparta spoke. "You are the bait. I'm hoping that thief has taken a liking to you and comes to save you." Defender laughed "Are you serious? What makes you think a thief is going to come save a superheroine?" "A hunch." Sparta said as she opened the water value. Defender's heart stopped as the water started to flow into the cannal. "If he doesn't show, well then at least I will have gotten rid of you. King will be happy about that."

The water level was starting to raise fast. It had already submerged the weights!!!! Defender started to struggle. If she didn't get out of her soon, she'd drown. By the time the water had reached her waist, she was in a full on panick. "HELP!!! SOME ONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!! As the water submerged her breast, she had broken out in tears. Was this really the end she thought?
