She's not alone...

"Fuck... what was I thinking wearing white?" Jessica muttered to herself as she looked down. She examined her white shoes, the soles and lower parts were very muddy. She shone her torch around to get a good look at the phone. Already she could note that machinery could be heard from all over, some echoes from a distance while others seemed fairly close.

Large metal warehouses were lined up next to each other, Jessica could not see how many or how far they reached into the farm. Next to each warehouse were very large metal cylinders, presumably containing farmed ingredients. It was a fairly standard farm, Jessica could not see any resemblance to a technological breakthrough other than the noises she could hear.

A very bright light suddenly appeared in the distance, it made the reporter jump. The light started to get bigger, which implied that something was approaching. In a quick panic, Jessica switched her torch off and ran over to the left. She managed to hide in a gap between the two warehouses.

Jessica slowed her breathing and attempted to remain calm, hoping it was just a spotlight and nothing else. The entire area was now brightly illuminated, as the mysterious object had finally arrived.

"Scanning area for signs of life" a robotic feminine British voice suddenly echoed. Jessica's jaw dropped. A floating object came into view. It was a white ball, with four small turbines attached to arms sticking above it. A red light in the centre of the ball indicated the eye of the drone, which currently displayed a holographic scanner covering the muddy surface.

An alarm sound bellowed from the drone as it slowly hovered around the area. Jessica was in complete shock, she had seen drones in person but never one like this. An active AI inside of a drone, patrolling a farm. Jessica knew something was off about this place when she saw it on the article. Jessica quietly but frantically flicked through her notebook and quickly wrote down her experiences so far.

The drone was slowly reaching Jessica's position...
