She's getting to that.

"Alright, so!" Miranda says, excitement clear on her face and seeming to overtake her usual nervousness. "There were some problems initially, with.... affecting emotions, but we've since ironed those out completely. Now, it's ready for proper testing!"

Miranda holds one of the pills up high in the air between her thumb and forefinger, and it catches the light brilliantly. You and Lexi clap together. With two people it's a bit lacklustre sounding, but Miranda seems to really appreciate the idea.

"This pill will boost adrenaline, boost your rate of healing, boost the rate at which your blood clots-" Miranda lowers the pill to just in front of her eye, which glints as she stares closely at it. "-as well as enhancing all of your senses. Better eyesight, better hearing, greater sense of smell -- you'll even be able to feel approaching monsters through the ground, if our projections are correct."

Miranda picks up a handful of the pills from the table, and carefully counts them out. Then, she extends her palm, and bears the three pills.

"Would you like to try?" She asks.

You and Lexi share a look, then both reach out and pluck one of the pills from her hand. Miranda leans back, balling her fist around the remaining pill.

"Are we all giving it a crack, then?" Lexi asks. "Sounds fun. I thought we'd just be watching."

"That's what I'm here for!" Nurse Riley sings happily. "We've long since confirmed that they're of no threat to humans, and that whatever the specifics of their effects, they will be temporary. This is just about gathering some results so that they may be fine tuned. I'll be here to observe for extra safety."

You bring the pill up to your eye. Sounds like it'll be all good, then. And if this works like it's supposed to, it'll be a huge advantage for Warriors everywhere. You'll definitely take it! Plus, boosting your eyesight sounds awesome. How does that even work? Does it change the shape of your eyeballs? The smell and feeling one is just about turning up what's already there, but the seeing one sounds crazy cool and clever.

"Down the hatch!" Lexi says, bringing her hand up and knocking back the pill with a gulp. "I hope I get to see ghosts. There's a few I really wanna meet."

For you and Miranda, Nurse Riley brings a plastic cup of water, which you use to help swallow it easier.

Alright.... it settles in your stomach, and you wait, not moving a muscle. Lexi and Miranda do the same, waiting for the change to come in total silent stillness. Nurse Riley claps her hands together giddily.

"This is so exciting!" She squeals.
