Chapter 23
by D!$N3Y
What happens with Raven?
She's back!
Raven's eyes fluttered open, and they were violet; she was herself. "Mmm..." she mumbled. "Beast Boy...? Guys?"
"Where's Jeremy?" Cyborg asked. Raven stated that she had no idea.
"All I remember is that..." She blushed when she realized what she was about to say: Jeremy kissed her! So she decided to avoid that part "...that Jeremy came up to me, staring at me with his glowing eyes, then I blacked out. And now, I'm here." Beast Boy told her the story of what happened, through their experience like a slideshow: Jeremy whupping them at the jungle base, Starfire and him taking her away, and she doing as Jeremy told her to. When it had ended, Raven pulled up her hood angrily, her eyes glowing white with crackles. "I'm going to make him experience eternal night..." She floated up, and used her powers to fly into her own darkness as a kind of portal, and the others followed suit.
Meanwhile, Jeremy was busy meditating in the main chamber; he felt a taint inside his mind and needed to quell it. He slowly breathed in, letting his chest expand with 'goodness', and then breathed out to let the 'badness' out. He kept on repeating this for an hour now: breathe good in, breathe bad out. Breathe in good, breathe out evil. Suddenly, an invisible jolt struck his brain; "They're coming..." he said, opening his eyes halfway. The Titans, most of them, journeyed to meet up with him. And they glared at him, armed and ready to fight, looking to bruise, maim, and almost... kill him! Jeremy stood up, seeing Raven's powers around her hands; Cyborg's cannon ready; Robin about to throw some of his discs; and Beast Boy made claws that were close to his body like Kung Fu fists! "So..." he started as his voice dominating over Brother Blood's, "have we learned anything today?"
"All we've learned is that you're a lousy fan!" Cy shot back.
"You should've stuck with comics and card games," Raven said hoarsely.
"Well/Vell..." he replied, his firm tone over Rouge's, "in that/dat case, none of you will/vill leave here."
"You won't stop us all by yourself," Beast Boy said defiantly. Jer started rising higher into the air and looked down at the four. Beast Boy face-palmed, forgetting that he could do that.
"You just had to jinx us, didn't you?" Cy asked.
"You just don't comprehend it, do you?" Jer replied with his, and the Brain's, voice. "We've made peace, them and I." His eyes glowed red as parts of his body had been taken by other's: Cinderblock's forearms; Plasmus' upper arms; Overload's head color; and Kardiak's finger-tentacles. His was now part of the villains' collective voice: "They are here. We are one. And you have no chance."
"TITANS, GO!!" Robin bellowed, as they charged in. Raven shot out magic from her hand, and Jeremy used his telekinetic blast to push it back. The two attacks collide in midair, and Raven gritted her teeth as she put more oomph into her attack, but Jer/Blood kept strong. They both tried something else: him shooting Plasmus' slime continuously while she tries to block the attack, only to see the attack split three different ways, pushing her into the barrier and making her woozy enough to discontinue her attack.
Who's up next? Robin, perhaps?
