Settling in at the farm

Anita heads outside to make sure the commotion didn't scare the horses too much when she sees Alexis leaning up against the car everyone arrived in. She walks down the steps and calls to her.

"I'm heading around back, you want to come with and check out the horses?"

Alexis jumps at Anita's voice. She's been out here thinking about earlier, she feels like she has butterflies in her stomach that keep coming and going, regardless of what's going on. Maybe this'll be a good distraction for her, get her mind off things. "Yeah, I'll go."

Alexis catches up to Anita as the two head to the stables. Anita takes a couple wrong turns before the two reach them. "Are you okay?" Alexis asks.

"Yeah, this isn't my farm or anything. It's actually my friend's, I just came here when the city started to get overrun."

"Really? Where's your friend then, shouldn't they be around?"

Anita sighs. "Yeah, she was... Until you showed up and shot her."

Alexis thinks back to the bimbo she shot. "Sorry about that... She was obviously infected though."

Anita laughs. "Yeah, she never would've been brave enough to run around without a shirt on. I Guess that virus or whatever helped her out with her confidence, too bad it went a little overboard, I had to leave her outside so she wouldn't get me too."

Anita stops talking and walks over to the horses, making sure none of them tried to run and checking their food and water. Alexis stays behind and looks at the other horses.

After a few minutes Anita decides all is good and turns around to head back. When she does she smiles and gives Alexis a compliment. "I like your hair by the way."

"My hair?" Alexis says under her breath, reaching her hand up to touch it before pulling it away. "Is it longer...?"

She shakes her head and catches up to Anita again as the two head inside. "I need to get out of the sun..."
