Settle down for the night

You walk slowly back into the entrance room of the pool, and drop yourself down into one of the long cushioned seats. A sudden wash of exhaustion floods through you, the trying events of the day all coming back to you, leaving your mind dulled. You lay yourself down on the seat, looking up at the white ceiling high above, and slowly let your mind rest.

You are jolted out of your doze by a soft bang, and approaching footsteps. You slowly **** yourself up into sitting, and stare groggily toward the sound.

Evie walks slowly toward you, rubbing her long wet hair with a white towel she must have found in the changing rooms. a slight smile graces her exhausted face, the lines of worry, stress and fear from what she saw earlier gone. She looks almost serene in her new found peace. One glance is all she spares you, though this time it is not filled with sullen submissiveness or hate. She quickly looks away however and walks over to one of the corner seats. Tossing the wet towel away she lays herself down on the long seat, her back toward you, and curls up to sleep.

You grin ruefully and lie back down on your own seat, curling yourself up comfortably, and let sleep wash over you.
