Settle Down Pt 6

"Want to check out the attractions or more rides?"

I think about it. We'd done some rides and they weren't bad but the actual fun had been doing them together, not really the rides themselves.

I hold up one finger and nod. Walt smiles and nods taking my hand.

Most of them are just too easy. The "fun" and "haunted" houses. When you've faced real dangers it's a little hard to take "play" danger seriously... but we both enjoy them more than the rides. Being surrounded by children actually makes it more fun in a strange way. We laugh at our reflections and the "dangers" walking along holding hands or linking arms. It feels natural. Like something we have always done.

Walt is especially good with the children and people we encounter. He play acts at being scared or brave or excited with them. It's actually pretty funny and I surprise myself starting to have fun too! Making faces, pretending and playing along becomes silly and fun! I've always been playful but not usually "innocently" and Walt actually likes that about me... but it's hard not to enjoy seeing him with children. He's a natural... and practically a bug kid himself. It's actually kind of adorable.

The big maze attraction is even worse and better! It's some giant thing in an extradimensional space to look like a rose garden with some mascot characters apparently. It seems to mostly be couples and families trying to get away from the hustle and bustle of the fair for awhile. I can tell Walt recognizes some people and seems to nod or wave but ignore them. Must be our "shadows". I do the same with a few winks and thumbs-ups. They're just doing their "jobs".

We happily enjoy stroling along together. Walt seems to have an odd knack for this sort of thing though and as huge as it is, we're at the exit very quickly. We didn't make a single "wrong turn". He sighs looking at it and shakes his head as if disappointed. So I tug on his arm. He raises an eyebrow but let's me take the lead pulling him away with a smile.

He laughs and we literally explore every part and "dead end" of the maze on purpose. Twice! We meet and take pictures with every mascot character we can find. We even find their secret "break room" and Walt apologizes embaressed for interrupting their strip poker card game while I laugh. We promise not to tell.

We even stop to help lost people and children and it's surprisingly not annoying at all! It's what I noticed about him before. He doesn't do it be a meddling do-gooder or because he wants to be a hero. He just genuinely likes helping people. I don't think he even realizes that's what actually makes him the rare not annoying "hero" type. He's selfless, kind, compassionate and caring without thinking about it or ulterior motivations. It's just who he is... and I find I like that about him. I don't know how he can think of himself as a villain... but if being a good person makes one villainous then he's the biggest one I've ever met... next to Penny of course. He's a big lovable rogue with a good heart.

And maybe that's why I find I fit in this odd relationship we're all a part off? If Penny is his "good side", maybe I am his "rogish side"? And since Walter accepts himself and each of us, maybe that's why Penny accepts me and I have been growing closer and so fond of her?

I look at him. We'd found another lost child and he's kneeling down trying to comfort her as she describes her parent and where she last saw them. Walt tells her we'll find her mother. He looks at me asking... and I can't help but smile and nod "yes". He smiles at me for it. I sit on his shoulder and he stands up. I look around over the hedges, nod and point in the direction we need to go and we're off. We have them reunited shortly.

Maybe I was over thinking earlier... what we have "just works". It doesn't need an explanation.

We spent more time in there than the whole rest of the Fair, I think.

Things were tense in the beginning. "Boss" had intentionally entered an area where he could easily lose them with "Ice Cream". Was that his plan? He's done that before. Charlie team entered the maze.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. "Boss" was playing nice with Charlie Team. Infact "Ice Cream" was surprisingly happy too and unknowingly giving their fans some great moments!

Winks, tiny waves, playfully sticking her tongue out, etc. Maybe she did know?

The shippers in the room were ecstatic watching their playful flirty moments. Kissing, laughing and holding hands.

The door opens and Deadpool looks up. "Is it time- oh, not who I was expecting. Hi Froppy. I'm Deadpool."

Tsuyu steps out in her hero costume. "Hello. It's nice to meet you. Ribbit."

"It's nice to meet you too!" Deadpool said. "Nice costume!"

"Thank you," Froppy says. "Edna wanted to see it. Apparently Walt ribbited you and her to look it over and he'll consider you guys design inputs at a later date and maybe a separate commission. I like your's as well. Masks like that take a lot of commitment. Ribbit."

"Thank you," Deadpool said. "It's actually more of a public service though, but never mind that. Is it time for me to come in?"

Froppy shakes her head. "Almost but not yet. It's Apparently going quickly and well though... can I ribbit with you for awhile?"

"Sure!" Deadpool puts his crayons and lunch away.

Froppy sits down and explains her situation while Deadpool listens, it seems she really needs to talk with someone, so he tries to only occasionally interject with comments like "what a guy!", "what a bitch!" and "I bet that went over like someone craped in her creamed corn!"

Finishing her story she looked at him. "What do you think? Ribbit."

Deadpool shrugged. "I think a lot of things, Froppy. But I think in the end dead owls don't give a hoot about what I think. I think it's more what you think that's important. How do you feel about Walt?"

Froppy looks thoughtful. "I think he's a caring person with a pretty good heart but with questionable judgment and a odd morality. Ribbit"

Deadpool nods. "Almost exactly what my 3rd grade elementary school teacher wrote on my report card... including the "Ribbit"."

Froppy blinks.

Deadpool waves his hand. "She also said a lot of other things, especially about the fire, but never mind that. It sounds like while you may not understand or agree with him, you still like him as a person. That's not bad. 7.5 out of 10 won't get him a medal with the judges but it's not terrible either."

Froppy shakes her head. "Too low... 7.95, maybe? Ribbit."

Deadpool speaks into an imaginary microphone. "Oh! What's this? A surprisingly high score from the judges even though the contestant didn't stick the landing? They must have seen something that they liked!"

Froppy nodded. "The more I look at the things he does, or is trying to build ir has built, the more I see his motivations are rather pure and unselfish. His methods are still questionable though. Ribbit."

Deadpool nods. "Ok so still no medal yet but did good enough to be in the top contenders. Now how about Mystique?"

Froppy shakes her head. It doesn't hurt anymore, that's what she told Walter and is the truth, but it still stings a bit and not just from the bear spray. "She got me good. I knew something was wrong but I still didn't see it coming. Ribbit."

Deadpool nodded. "She usually does. Kind of her M.O."

Froppy nodded. "So I heard. She was vicious and even a little mean and spiteful... but she surprised me. She didn't finish me off. She didn't care enough not to casually hurt and injure me but she didn't kill me either. If she's so awful why not? Ribbit."

Deadpool shrugged. "Honestly I couldn't tell you. That's not one of my abilities and even if it were that's not a head I'd want to poke around in. I'd rather put my hand in a blender and make a smoothie... and then have to drink it! Ugh!"

Froppy makes a face at that mental image! "Yuck! That's painful and disgusting! Ribbit."

Deadpool shrugged. "Sorry. That is my gift. Appropriate for no audiences. But that stuff Walt stuck her with? I got no clue what that is or does. Something new or from some other world maybe? I dunno. What I do know is that he'll try to help her. That's who he is."

She nodded. "I think so too... thanks for ribbiting with me, Deadpool. You're an alright guy too. Ribbit."

"Awwww!" Deadpool fans his face with his hands. "Stop it! You're making me blush! I'm turning all red!"

They both laugh.

"Oh my!"

Glynda steps off of the device blushing. Edna claps telling her "that was wonderful, Darling!" while the others either blush or nodded.

"Apologies," She says pushing up her glasses trying to cover her embarrassment. "I may have gotten a little carried away there..."

Her former students look like they're about to say something so she gives them a look and both Blake and Pyrrha nod their understanding.

Penny does too but about something else. "Oh! I'll have to ask Mr Pool about it but I think that was maybe what he meant last time about being "Bonerhmhm" hmm mmm?" Pyrrha and Blake have covered her mouth grinning, whispering to her "not now" and "don't say it" through clenched teeth grins.

"Come come," Says Edna. "You're next my dear."

"... I don't want to..." Raven says from underneath her cloak. She'd thrown it on immediately after stripping down.

"Huh? Why not?" Ilulu says. "I don't really want much because of my scales and stuff but it looks fun to try!"

"It's embarrassing...", she says turning around to face her. "You're used to looking how you do but for us humans this is freakish. It isn't a normal shape... or... size..." she trails off seeing Manami behind them, also waiting for her turn, looking hurt. She and Raven were supposed to change into their heroine costumes after like Tsu had earlier so Edna and Deadpool can look them over. "I-I didn't mean... I'm sorry, Manami-"

"No!" Manami shakes her head. She's wiping the tears from her eyes but she nods her head. She remembered the things that the others told her, especially Neo and Penny! She looks at the device and then takes Ilulu's hand and Ravens too. Pulling them along. Ilulu excitedly and Raven reluctantly. "I have to be brave... I have to bold... I must not doubt..."

She and Ilulu pull Raven onto the device. There's just enough room for the three of them. Friday sensing their intent increases the devices power and devotes a bit more of her extraordinary processing power to it's use. "That goes for you too! Until they fix you... if they can fix you... you have to be confident in yourself!"

"B-but I'm... this i-isn't... "

Manami reaches for her cloak. "This is who you are, at least for now."

Ilulu also reaches for her cloak. "This is still your body even if it's different from before."

"I-I'm not..."

They take her cloak off. If Kali could do it for her friend they can do it for her... and maybe each other. "You are beautiful Raven."

They start trying on different sets of underwear and swimsuits as Raven is stunned. Ilulu in a black one piece that really wasn't much different from her bunnysuit and she did look good. Manami trying on a baby doll and high heels and she did look cute and sexy at the same time.

Almost all the other ladies were complimentary and supportive, offering suggestions and giving praise. Edna herself was delighted to see them giving it their all and with building confidence! Raven realized that she was a unusual body type also. Her insensitive comments from before hit her again.

Looking around there were many different types here not just the usual but exotic shapes, features and more. Most seemed to be comfortable with their bodies and all accepted the others. That confidence was alluring and attractive! It was powerful!

She hesitantly tried a couple of selections and everybody smiled and clapped and gave her praise and encouragement. She looked at herself and the other two in the mirrors and tried to see them objectively.

They were beautiful. They were sexy. They were bombshells!

Ilulu's grinning laugh was playful and infectious. Manami's growing smile and confidence made her more and more lovely with each piece she tried on.

Raven looked at her body. Okay, it was different from before. She'd been secretly self-conscious of her previous bodies "flaws" before and had learned to accept it in time and even embrace it... this one, while very different, was also good in it's way. She had curves now... dangerously sexy curves! Sure her proportions were exaggerated... but they weren't bad exactly. Infact they were kind of nice.

She tried on a sexy satin number with heels next. It caressed her skin. She looked like a vamp!

Ilulu tried on a clingy short kimono and Manami a sweet but sexy frilled swimsuit. Raven looked and hesitantly selected a bikini... just to look.

She gasped. She was dynamite! She was stunning! She saw the other two smile at her and try slightly different but similar pieces and they flanked her and they all looked at themselves. While the other ladies held their breath. She thought she heard Penny say, "wow" quietly.

They looked amazing! They were knock outs! If they went out in public together like this they'd start a riot! She blushed at the thought but realized looking at her reflection she was smiling. She didn't dislike the idea. She was lovely... like Starfire!

"Alright." She said. "I'm still embaressed... but it is fun. Maybe this isn't so bad after all... I might not even want them to change everything back." She looked up at her ears then turned to stick out her sexy ass with it's cute tail. "...the ears and tail are pretty cute... and these curves are pretty great... thank you."

Ilulu and Manami put their arms around her as they posed together. "You know it! Anytime!" Ilulu told her happily.

"You're very welcome Raven," Manami told her blushing. Raven remembered. This girl wasn't just self conscious but also shy. She had fought through that too to try to make an effort and reach out to her! She had courage and guts!

"Thank you... both of you." Raven smiled. "Thank you for being my friends... I'm sorry for how I was before and I want to try to be friends with you both too... please be patient with me?"

Manami smiles too. "I-I'd r-really like that too!" She nods. "Friends!"

Ilulu just laughs and slaps them both on the backs. "Of course we're friends! We're cuddle buddies just like Sasha and I are snack buddies! Oh I know!" She wraps her arms around the two of them squeezing them all together. "Manami can be cuddle buddies with us!" Raven rolls her eyes and Manami looks like she's going to protest abd Ilulu gives her a look and adds, "cuddle together with Walt and the others!"

Manami turns dangerously red and starts stuttering as Raven just rolls her eyes again. But Penny speaks right up. "I think that is a wonderful idea! I will try to arrange it so we can all have the opportunity to cuddle together. I know! The new bed is very large and likely the perfect place for cuddling!"

"Great thinking Penny! You're so smart!" Ilulu tells her.

Raven blushes. "I don't know..."

"T-the bed?" Manami squees. "W-with Walt?!" She practically swooned.
