Seth and Lucie investigate further

Seth handed Lucie her coffee at her desk in the workshop, where she sat, pondering.

"You know, as much as I prefer what you get up to staying between you three, this particular situation does fascinate me. If what you are telling me is true, this witch has found a way to completely cloak her magic -- so well that even her reflexive defences didn't activate when Hugo hit her. That's something that nobody has ever been able to do."

Seth nodded, curious himself.

"And the quality of the enchantment placed on Scarlett. None of us have a hope of unpicking it. It was composed by a mastermind."

He asked her, "How many people can do things like this?"

"Actually, nobody. As far as I knew, until today, nobody could do things like this. Do you know where they're staying? Can I see them?"

Seth scratched his forehead. "Well, Hugo's made it a bit difficult to talk to them ever since the girl sent his ass to jail, but certainly we know where they are - we could watch if that's what you want to do." He didn't get many opportunities to work with his wife, so he was happy to facilitate.

"They check out of their hotel tomorrow. Shall we pay them a visit?" He asked.

"I don't get it - their checkout should be 11am; where could they be?!" Seth checked his watch impatiently.

"Patience," Lucie instructed.

The couple were sitting across the entrance to the hotel lobby from a hill at the edge of the parking lot, waiting for Nadia and James to check out.

"Wait! That's them!"

Lucie focused her attention on the two, noting the lack of magical signature around Nadia. She looked across at Seth before yelling, "go, go! As we agreed!" Lucie made herself invisible and watched the events unfold.
