Served up to the infected

When Neku looked back in order to check up on Kate, he saw the door starting to open a bit enough for her to look into. She was about to speak before an arm reached out and suddenly pulled her in before quickly closing the door, leaving the other four.

“What the?! Did they seriously just pulled her in without a word?!” Vargus got out, outraged at that. “What about the rest of us?!”

“I think it’s pretty clear what their answer is…” Neku muttered, hope starting to fade in his eyes.

“Dammit! They’re practically serving us up to them! All they’re missing is a silver platter!” Felix growled, body trembling as he saw the infected group approaching.

“No, n-not like this…!” Nina muttered, backing away in fear.

Neku's mind flashed back during his time at Silverhills. He and his group were trying to find supplies before they were all ambushed and surrounded by an infected group. He was lucky enough that you and your friend were there to save you, though your previous members weren’t so lucky.

Though the feeling in Neku’s gut tells him that he won’t be so lucky this time as the infected pack launched towards Neku’s group. The group puts up a valiant effort, but being outnumbered and fatigued from the battle, it was a lost cause as each of you were knocked down and defeated.

The door behind them remained closed, sealing their fates as the battered group were on their knees; their bodies were sore, covered in various cuts and bruises, and regarding Nina, soaked completely in water. The Caturne was approaching the Zoroark, the Ledian descended towards Vargus, Felix was staring at the encroaching Kabutops, while Nina tried to stand up against the Walrein. The Sableye was about to lunge at her, only for the walrus to slap him far away with his tail.

Neku’s eyes trembles as he now knows his fate is sealed, along with the others.
