Sera's state

Jason parked his car hastily at the parking lot, sprinted towards Sera's apartment and rang the door bell, as soon as the door opened Jason was shocked to see Sera in a wheelchair with a cast on her left leg.

Jason panicking, as he began to enquire as to what had happened to her leg "what happened? how... when did this happen?".

Sera quickly pulled him into the apartment, checked if someone was outside and closed the door behind them. Jason became confused and still panicking repeated the questions at Sera once more.

Sera *sighed* as she told Jason "yesterday, when I left the convenient store a bunch of drunken hooligans tackled me and when I fell my leg got fractured" as Sera brushed her hair off her face she continued "the people around there helped me get to the hospital and I got treated right away, so there's nothing to worry about".

"Then why did you sound off as if you were in pain when you called me earlier!?" Jason questioned, "Ah, that I was trying to see if I could walk... haha" Sera said as she scratched her cheek.

"Why would you, when your legs in this state... agh... forget it, you wouldn't listen to anything others say anyway" Jason said as he reconfirmed himself that Sera was that type of person in his mind.

Jason frustrated then asked Sera "Did you see their face, did you make a complaint at the police station??" for which Sera said "No, I didn't want to escalate the situation and I can't afford to make a complaint right now".

Jason getting angrier shouted "WHAT!?... what do you mean you can't afford it... huh...". Sera who saw Jason get angrier in her stead let out a small chuckle, told him to take a seat at the couch as she began to explained what she meant. (Sera's Conundrum)

The short version:

Sera told Jason that she couldn't miss out on work at this point in time and can't afford to let her co-workers know about her injury so she didn't make any complaint. She needs Jason's help in keeping her co-workers in line till she could got to work.
