Selan is on his way to Greyrock.

Selan always hated going to Greyrock.
While the men seem to think of him as a halfbreed monster and always looked for an excuse to beat him up, the women found him attractive and mysterious which of course gave the men of the town the excuse they needed to give him a beating.

Eventually the walls of Greyrock appeared into view, the high and thick walls of grey granite was probably the most impressive landmark of the town. The stone was from the town's own quarry, and much of the rock was transported to other towns and cities for buildings and walls, and Greyrock's masons were popular around Gildan for their building skills.

As he passed the wooden gates, and got a suspicious stare from the town guard (a recruit from Bloodcliff's army, serving a few years training in Greyrock and protecting it from bandits and thieves) but he made no comment on his appearance.

Selan was greeted with the sight of several buildings, made from both wood and stone. One of the most impressive buildings of the town being the local inn, 'the Quarryman's Rest', a large three storey building made from gray stone which rooms were often occupied by nobles and merchants that passed through Greyrock to go to Bloodcliff, and was well-known for their rather cheap drinks.

Another popular location was 'the Drunken Dragon', the local tavern was a two storey building with a stone dragon's head hanging above the door, most of the masons, and nobles and richer merchants visiting Greyrock, drank expensive wine there. Barmaids dressed in skimpy outfits carried the drinks to the patrons, and according to some rumors there were more scandalous things happening on the second floor.

The last, and perhaps the most impressive buildings were the mayor's mansion, a wide three storey building made from white stone with high glass windows. And the temple of the gods, made from the same white stone as the mayor's mansion, and had a tall spire and shining copper dome. Of course Greyrock was always growing bigger, and new stores and buildings were being constructed when the half-elf visited Greyrock.

Selan sighed and pulled the note his mother had written for him. He didn't like Greyrock, but if it was for his mother he happily went to the town.

"Lets see what do I need to pick up again..." Selan mumbled to himself while looking over the list his mother gave him, "Bitter root? Oh shit... didn't Old Sam say he'd kill me if I ever set foot in his store again?" Selan thought to himself.

Bitter root was a medicine used to bring down fevers and stop colds, and Old Sam's store was the only one in town that had them in stock. Unfortunately Old Sam hated Selan's guts because he had kissed his granddaughter at the harvest festival two years ago.

"Even though she came onto me..." Selan muttered angrily "Tried to **** her...what a load of shit."

Eventually Selan started walking, wondering what he would do in the town first.
