Since her mom didn't seem to empathize with her situation, Erica needed a new plan: her step-dad. Maybe if she laid on the charm, she could convince him to help her out.

She sidled up next to her step-dad and clutched his arm in what she hoped was a cute and sultry, not creepy kind of way. "Daddy?" she said trying to get his attention. He grunted to indicate that he'd heard her. "Can you help me with a teensy-weensy problem that I'm having?"

"What is it, sweetie?" he asked her.

"Well," she responded, "mom told me that nobody packed me anything. I'm worried. Won't I need clothes or something?"

"Oh," he said. "That."
