Chapter 4
by Shibbar
It's normally a lot busier here...
Sector A-MaintLKR
The locker is somewhat cramped, mostly filled with home appliances in various stages of disrepair. Despite the station getting regular supplies, there is not so much a 'discard and replace' culture as there is on Earth- after all, why would you fill valuable cargo space on a ship with space inefficient toasters and vacuums and coffee machines people might not buy, when instead you could fill it with space efficient raw materials and supplies like food and rare ore and organic compounds that they will. Thus, most luxury goods are in short supply, and usually made and repaired on the station.
{if button = 0}There's a hatch that leads down to the maintenance corridors. There's a console next to it, with 'LOCKED' displayed on it, and three small red lights. It won't budge open, no matter what you do, so you don't bother. On the wall next to the console is a diagram on a metal plate. You suppose that it is a map of what's down the hatch. You make a mental note of it.
{elseif button = 3}The hatch to the maintenance corridors is unlocked, but you don't feel like experiencing that part of your life again anytime soon.{endif}
Other than broken junk, there's not much else here, and especially not much else of interest.
Not much here but tools and junk.
