She looks at you and gives a long sigh of defeat. "Eric wasn't really truthful with his pack, he kept a lot of things from us, and this is basically a pack formed from lots of people who got bitten and don't know a lot about being a werewolf. He started it from scratch and made a small kingdom for himself. He had a powerful mother as a witch, that helped him control everyone, but in the end, he failed."

"How do you know all this?"

"My mother isn't really ... vocal if you know what I mean, and we weren't having a good time in our last pack, but Kevin found us and took us away with him, and we joined Eric's pack. My dad offered a lot of information to Eric in exchange for protection, and Acaria put some spells on us to never reveal anything, and he accepted us."

"Jesus! And Jenny freaked out so hard about not transforming..."

"Well, Mia was taught by Acaria, so it isn't really surprising... I'm sorry I didn't say anything!"

"It's fine, it's not a big deal."

"So did they accept you? You have a lot to learn!" she smiles.

"No, it seems we will get a new alpha. He won't kick me out of the pack or fight me to the ****, will he?

She giggles. "He shouldn't do that. I said that some packs have multiple people who can be considered alphas, and as long as they respect each other and the leader doesn't step on the whole foot, they work just fine. Of course, there are also exceptions to the rule, but those who rule alone, like Eric, are swallowed by other, more powerful packs."

You are a little worried now, you knew you were different, but you thought it was because you had a failed transformation and not because you stood atop everyone else. You never felt Jenny act differently... Sure, Mark acted a little weird around you, but you blamed it on that first day...

"You will be fine, don't worry too much. I was in a normal pack, I know stuff, trust me!" she says.

"Of course I trust you!"

"Good!" she smiles."Do you know who will be the new Alpha?"

"I think his name is Edward or something like that..."

"Holy shit! "

"What, you know him?"

"If his dad's name is Gregory, then yeah, I saw him a few times when I was little. He spent most of his time with the adults and didn't mingle with the other kids. He always had his back straight and acted all proper and stuff like that. He seemed really inflexible with rules, hopefully, he changed a bit growing up."

Just then, you hear people shouting, so you take a quick look and see Jenny's dad arguing with a werewolf double his size. It would be comical if it didn't scare the hell out of you. The pack just went to war, everything is a mess, and you don't know how they will react to a human barging in.

Scared that someone will injure him, you quickly run towards them. " It's fine! He's my mate's father!" you yell.

"Max!"

"It's ok, I can guarantee for him!" You pat the werewolf on his shoulder.

"The pack is on lockdown. No human can enter the compound."

"It's his daughter, man, just let him see her, and then he'll leave. I'll be with him all the time!"

"No!"

Just as you start arguing with him, someone else comes to see what all the shouting is about.

"I've told them he can't enter, sir, as per orders!"

"It's her dad! I'll take care of him while he stays here!"

He looks at the human, then at you, and sighs. "Fine, but don't let him wander about alone!"

"Got it! Come on, I'll take you to see Jenny!" you say as you grab him by the hand and drag him towards Jenny's room.
